"Look at you Michael. Sitting like a big boy." Tubbo smiled at his six month old son.

Over the months that they had the small boy they watched every milestone. They witnessed the way their son grew every day.

Tubbo took a picture of the six month old as the little boy put his hand in his mouth. He noticed how interested Michael became with things.

He did research and learned that is how a baby determines if an item is safe.

"Should we send this to dada?" He asked the zombie piglin gently moving the pink tuft of hair he had.

Michael looked around hearing the word dada. His arms flapped as excitement engulfed his small body.

Tubbo laughed and lifted him into his arms. "No dada is at work, he'll be home later." He sent the photo to his husband before making their way to the nursery.

"It's naptime bud." He set Michael on the ground grabbing a water bottle and his formula. He poured the water into Michael's bottle before scooping the formula in.

Michael stared at the bottle grunting and reaching for it. Small whines filled the room as he grew impatient and sleepy.

Tubbo mixed the bottle and set it in the bottle warmer. "Just a minute bud." He picked up the infant and distracted him with his stuffed chicken.

Tubbo sat in the living room watching a movie stealing glances at the baby monitor every now and then.

A gentle knock removed him from his trance. He rose to his feet, monitor in hand, making his way to the door. He opened the door, not being able to reach the peep hole, and gave a gentle smile.

"Hi can I help you?" He asked looking at the piglin women before him.

"I was told you have my son. I've come to get him back." She said, her tone was so certain that Toby had her boy.

"I'm sorry but we never met the birth parents and if you are his birth mother you need to handle this through the court." He said as cool as he could, on the inside he began to freak out. Could she really take his son? Could he lose his bud?

A small cry emitted from the baby monitor. Tubbo looked down then back at the women. "I have to get my son. Have a nice day." He shut the door quickly locking it before rushing to his son.

-

"She can't just take him, can she?" Ranboo asked as his partner held their son close.

"The law is different with piglins, she gave him up as soon as he was born. But within their species she can take him if she really wants him. That does not mean she gets him right away. You are his parents he doesn't know anything else, so we'll do this the legal way."

Their lawyer gave them a look. "She will have supervised visitation with Michael, however she will not leave with him or do anything you are not comfortable with. You will be in the room the entire time but not in the way. We can not tell Michael to play with her but you can allow him the space he needs to experience time with his mother."

Tubbo let out a shaky breath. "Will the judge give him to her after a certain amount of time?"

"Thats unclear, Michael's goal was to find a home with loving parents, and he did. We however don't know if the new goal is reunification. We just have to play by ear. You still have sole custody of Michael that will not change. We just have to be patient."
