Rain splatters against the cabal stone street of the town. The water formed small rivers as it runs down the little slopes or forms in the low points of the roads. Where ever it can find a place, the water will gather, run, and make slippery it's landing. And not only did it attack the street but the rooftops as well. Anything out in the open, the rain chose as a target.

The thunder booms overhead as if shouting orders to the rain. Like "There! Attack that rooftop!! Bomb dive that street!! There you go!!" as if to help emphasizes the thunders cry, lightning flashes across the pitch-black sky, lighting up the dark gray clouds.

But it was not just the buildings that the rain attacked; it also struck anyone unfortunate to be out in this dreadful weather as was the case for this one dwarf. His footsteps echoed off the pathed road and mixed with the sound of the downpour. His breath huffed out in little clouds of smoke in the fridge, rainy air.

With a grunt, the lone dwarf polls his waterlogged cloak closer to try to fight off the cold. But one can only do so much with a cover that acts more like a sponge than a cape. He trucks on until the road turned to dirt, well mud, beneath his weather resilient boots. That was one thing the dwarf was grateful for.

The more he treads on, the more his annoyance grew. Why couldn't the cabal stone path continue down this way?!?! As his foot stomps into the ground, dirty water, and mud shots up and splatters the lads face. An annoying "aaaaggg" comes from the dwarf, but he continues. After all, a little bit of extra money will be worth it. Meet Dori Rison, son of Flori and eldest out of the Ri brothers.

Dori was a dwarf of manners and being polite even if he had the strength to be intimidating. But that was not who he was, nor was it the person he wanted to be for his brothers. Yes, Dori had two younger brothers. Nori and Ori, both of which he is in charge of raising since their mother's death. They were the gold of his life. He needed no other but them. And that was why he was out in this weather. The lad had been working jobs back to back to get extra coins for food, shelter, and clothes.

Dori trudges on until he stood before the door to their modest two-story house. However, modest would be an understatement for this house. But even so, a home is where the heart is after all.

The house itself was made of wood that looked more like mold than timber. It had a dirty feel to it and definitely did not look like it can hold up against the current storm going on, let alone house three dwarves; two were but mere Dwarflings.

Dori looked at it with a sigh before finally stepping into the warm, which it had going for it, house. Just as he had finished hanging up the cloak and taking off his boots, a little shrill voice came calling his name.

"Dori!! Dori!! Dori!!!" And out popped a small little Dwarf with amber brown hair and the most adorable light brown eyes gleam back at him.

Dori chuckled before dropping to one knee and holding his arms out for the dwarfling who was in them within seconds.

"We missed you, nadad!!" The little dwarf gave Dori a lopsided grin that can only be described as mischievous one day. Dori knows it.

"And I you, my nadadith." Dori places a soft kiss on the little one's forehead. The little one giggles before holding out his hands to his nadad. And how can Dori say no to those eyes? This little pumpkin is Dori's younger brother, Nori Rison.

Nori only 11 years old, which is the equivalent of a 6-year-older old child. He is your typical six years old with his never-ending energy and very active mind. He never rests, and that is, at times, a challenge.

Dori quickly scoops the small creature into his arms as he moves towards the living-room. There he spies his other brother and their caretaker.

An elder dwarf who is close to their 229 birthday. She fast became friends with their mother back when she was pregnant with Ori—and speaking of Ori.
