growing pains

chapter 4. My June 14th

   Going to the party on June 14th of 2019 was the worst mistake I've ever made in my lifetime. I pushed Nicole and Tyler to go because I didn't wanna be alone, but little did I know this would lead to all of our down falls.
   The morning of I was frantic, I was so worried about what people would say or think about the freshman at the sophomores party but I couldn't allow myself to worry for too long because I had to convince my friends that it would be a good idea to go. I put on my favorite crop top that had a blue butterfly in the center with my favorite jacket right over it with my mom jeans and my black converse. I was just about to leave my house to go over to Nicole's when I was stopped by my mom, "where do you think you're going?" My mother asked. "To Nicole's like you said I could 2 weeks ago" I said frustrated that she wouldn't let me walk out the door. "Oh right sorry, be safe, call me if you need me" She said worried. My mom always got worried when I walked out the front door, always thought I would disappear into thin air is she wasn't constantly watching me. I finally got over to Nicole's, I was ready to convince her but once I got up to her room she was already ready to go, no need to convince her anymore. Wonder what changed her mind I thought to myself. Her parents were barely ever home so we easily snuck out. We went to get Tyler so we could get to the party on time. Once we arrived at the party we went our separate ways as you've already heard so many times before. As soon as I saw Corrine, Lizzie, Luke, Jacob and Josh I knew they'd be chill so I decided that's where I should hang for the night. Corrine was beautiful, she had the Prettiest eyes with a pearly white smile, her hair was in gorgeous box braids and she wore a bucket hat that she "f*ck off" on it, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to be her or hook up with her but that's beside the point. Lizzie had the Prettiest ashy blonde hair with gorgeous blue eyes that lit up a room she was wearing a hoodie and some sweats cause she was always cold. Luke had the messiest brown hair ever with brown eyes and I believe he just wore a hoodie with sweats just like Lizzie. Jacob had a stupid buzz cut, his hair was blonde, he wore some random graphic tee and some jeans like every normal guy at that party. Josh was the sweetest guy there, his eyes were the color of the sky and his hair was all tucked into a beanie that made him look so cute. They all looked so cool and I immediately wanted to be friends with them.
   They offered me some weed as soon as I sat down. I mean I'd never smoked before but I guess one puff couldn't hurt. "Yea umm sure" I said hesitantly. I took one puff and I loved it, I mean I think I got addicted right then and there. Corrine and me immediately clicked I mean we acted like we had known each other for years but in reality it had only been an hour, Im not sure if it was the weed talking though. I felt like lizzie hated me as soon as I walked through the door, I was scared of her I'm not gonna lie. Luke just kinda sat next to lizzie, I think this was when they were dating. Josh and Jacob though they were acting crazy but like the kinda crazy that you vibe with, the kinda crazy that does something stupid but everyone else thinks it's funny. I mean I really felt like I had made some friends. The only problem is that they didn't know I was just going into freshman year. Everything after that was sorta a blur other than the dragging Tyler out of the house and Nicole crying the whole way to her house. I wasn't too sure of what just happened but all I knew is that I wanted to party like that with those group of people again some time.
