Kate considered considered staying behind. She consideredliving with her cousins, or even "accidentally" loosing her flight.
She didn't want to leave the place that made her so happy, brought so many good memories.
Memories.Those were making her want to leave as well.
There was this part of her, her brain, actually, telling her to leave it all behind, and just go away. Just run to a place where no one knew her name. A place where she could be someone different, and perhaps, better.
And then there was her heart, which always screwed everything up, but somehow she insisted on listening to it.
It screamed for her to stay, growled like a wild beast, and demanded her not to go.
"No" she said to herself.
Her heart had screwed up too much already. She just followed her brain, and got in the car. She headed to New York.
