short note chapter, but it will be better soon
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
J.JK POV:
It's 2:23 in the afternoon. Everyone is on edge waiting for the final bell of the day to ring.
However, I'm waiting for the bell to ring to see who's placed the note. I have no clue if they will do it again, but I'm hoping they can so I can catch them. I want to know who's the person who is head over heels for me.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is some dumb freshman's prank on me.
2:24 pm.
The air gets tenser as everyone is drowsy from the long day.
Today mainly consisted of lectures as in lessons and actually lecturing the bad students. The worst part of today although was definitely lunch.
When is lunch ever good?
2:25 pm.
As always I sat with Jimin and his 'sort-of-boyfriend' Taehyung. Taehyung and Jimin aren't really dating but act like they are. Everyone tries to get them to go on a date but they refuse to.
The first thing wrong with lunch, the food. It's a Monday, so of course, the food was going to be bad.
But oh no. It's worse than bad. It's worse than worse.
2:26 pm.
It was Campbell's tomato soup but I think the lunch ladies added raw beef or something to it. Taehyung even coughed up hair from it.
The second problem with lunch is that Yoongi and y/n were sitting with us.
And no, they didn't argue or do anything bad...but the conversations were tense and awkward because of the previous night.
2:27 pm.
Yoongi was also flirting a lot with y/n. Nose touching, which is absolutely disgusting by the way, pecks on the cheeks, giggling and whispering at their couple inside jokes.
The biggest thing I noticed was that y/n wasn't into it as much as Yoongi was.
2:28 pm.
Almost there. I check around the classroom to see if anyone looks like they are writing a note.
I see some people with weird and worried eyes but they look like theatre kids. The school's fall play is currently going on, so I would assume it's about that.
2:29 pm.
Kids twist their bodies as they stack their books and prepare to bounce out of the classroom.
I watch the clock change, tick-tock, the clicking noise of the clock mixed with the muffled lesson in the background. The sound of teenagers whispering and nudging each other with small but noticeable pointing to the clock.
2:30 pm.
"Remember you all ha-" The teacher tries to say.
The students slam each other trying to push each other out of the door frame. I manage to suck my body in and squeeze between a couple holding hands.
Did I piss them off? Yes. Was it worth it? Hopefully.
I run faster than I have ever run in my whole life. Even faster than the time I ran from my teacher after sneaking out of detention.
I search the numbers on the locker doors. '113..114...115-" And there it is.
The white sealed envelope. Waiting on the ground for me.
"Damn it, Jeon, you're just like a piece of food ready to be eaten," I say to myself.
It's embarrassing knowing that whoever is writing these is preying on me and I can't even get them.
I hate when I'm the one being preyed on, instead of the one doing the preying.
I bend down and grasp the envelope. I rip the outer pieces and shove the remaining into the depths of my locker. I'll clean it out at the end of the year.
Time seems to slow down as I unravel the lined sheet of paper. I take a breath of air, preparing myself to read whatever message lies here.
'Dear Min Jungkook, this me, once again, writing a letter to you to get your attention. I am insanely in love with you. Why won't you notice me? I'm always around you Min. When you realize who I am, give me a kiss, please Min? Sincerely, your secret admirer."
I giggle. It was cringy, VERY, but it was kind of cute.
I'd never date someone like them. They seem too clingy and attached for me.
I stuff the note in the deepest spot of my blue sweatpant's pockets. I find a crumb of a cookie down there too. As I take my hand out of the pocket, a hand wraps around my neck and shoulders.
"Another note?" Jimin says in a very pissed way, but you can tell that he is excited. "Yeah, read it," I pass him the note and he opens it up.
I watch his eyes scroll down the sheet of paper, holding back his laughter. "Sounds like my baby cousin," He chuckles once more. "For real though," I can't control the smile on my face.
He reaches his hand out to give it back to me, but puts it in his hoodie's sleeve and takes off. "Jimin! What are you doing!" I yell after him and his response is by turning around and giving me a peace sign.
He lip-syncs words I can't read while making signs with his hands: point to me - point to mouth - point to himself - points downwards.
"OH MY- PARK SHUT TH- IT!" I shout down the hall. I wanted to swear but I realized we're still on school property.
I glance behind myself after hearing a noise but realize it was just Taehyung, who was probably watching us the whole time.
My head turns forward just to notice that Jimin is nowhere to be seen.
"Park, you did not just set Taehyung up for this stupid note!" I echo hoping he'll hear as I totally lost him.
I see two ways, left or right. I choose right, as Jimin's saying is 'right is always right because it's right.'
Where the fuck did that dwarf go...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i want to make one thing clear quickly as I revisit this chapter- (I originally posted this in may and its November) y/n calls jungkook jeon in the previous chapter but min here and that's because jungkook is adopted so his real last name is jeon but switched it to min when he was adopted- I hope that makes sense :')
