Chapter 4- Romeo
☾☼☽
She sat on the bench, looking gorgeous as I slowly painted her. I painted her sparkling eyes. Her curly hair. Her shiny jewelry. Every little detail.

" So, you're a prince?" She asks after a long silence.

"Yes. Someday King." I say, rolling my eyes.

"Why, isn't that a good thing? To rule a kingdom, to have whatever you wish in the blink of an eye?" She says, confused.

"Perhaps for others. I, however, am very much sick of this luxurious life. It's quite boring and old."

I finish painting her.
"Well...I'm finished." I take the canvas off the easel and show her.

"It's......breathtaking." She says.

I put it aside, and sit next to her.

"Thank you....Romeo." She says, as if trying out my name for the first time.

"Your very welcome, Juilet." I answer, smiling.

Chapter 5- Juliet
☾☼☽

This is horribly awkward. He's so perfect, but how can I tell him that?

"Do you want to do something?" He asks.

"Umm...just talking to you is nice." I say softly.

"Well, that's very sweet of you, but I'm sorry Miss, I can't just sit here staring at a beautiful girl for ever, can I? Let's go dance or eat or explore or something."

I blush.

"Romeo, you're so kind."

I sit closer to him.

Then, the door burrs open, and out rushes my mother, with a lady who I'm guessing to be Romeo's mother, the queen, following her.

"Liar! I would never do such a horrible deed! How wrong I was about your kingdom!" Mother yelled.

"Come, Juilet, we are leaving. Now." She snapped. "And get away from that traitor."

I feel tears of anger in my eyes. We're leaving right now?

"Mother! Don't be so rude about it!"

"If your Father knew you were talking to a Carthage boy, he'd never speak to you again. Come now, we mustn't associate ourselves with these types of people."

I follow my mother out the door, looking back to see Romeo holding the canvas he painted. His Mother was yelling at him very loudly at him.

Mother and I got on our horses and left.

"What was all of that about, Mother? I was having a good time, for once, until you came in and ruined it." I pout.

"Juilet, stop complaining. The Queen and I got into quite the argument." She laughs, and continues on about a story about something.

But I'm not listening to her, which is very rude, I know.

I'm thinking about Romeo.

I will most likely never meet him again. Ever. It's forbidden. But I wonder if I can try? Secretly meet him or something?

We arrived back at our palace and I got off my horse and ran inside. I ran to my room, grabbing a scrap of paper and a quill. I quickly scribble:

Dear Romeo,
Meet me on my porch at midnight.
~J

I call for a messenger. He comes to my room. "Please give this to the Prince of Carthage, it's um...from my Mother."
He nods and speeds off.

Good. I can't stop thinking about him.
