Zara Ellison was done with men — scrap that, women too. Time, and time, again, relationships backfired in her face, where they ended in the announcement of cheating or lack of love. In the end, Zara had learned one thing: love truly wasn't worth the heartbreak.
From her break up, Zara decided to be the one to move out of their shared apartment, where she wanted a fresh start without the reminder of Derek's lack of love. Zara ended up moving in with her old college friend Monica, who introduced Zara to her friends. One of those friends was Joey, who happened to share a dreadful one-night stand with Zara years ago with neither able to quite move on from it for different reasons. What's worse? Well, Joey happened to be Zara's next-door neighbour now too.
Zara would rather show her rage than her embarrassment to the whole ordeal, where the two dance around what truly happened that night. But Zara never imagined that she'd find joy in teasing Joey, where just maybe, she'll agree to the two being friends. However, the two soon become concerned with the reality that maybe there's something more to them than a simple one-night stand.
But, first, before that, there's Chandler Bing. Out of the blue, Chandler crept up on Zara when she had first started to discover the possibility of exploring romance again. From smoking buddies, to friends quitting together, the idea of their friendship being more surprised the two, especially when friends with benefits turned into something more.
Falling for two friends came with complications; for Zara, it came with devestation and regret, where in the end, it might just be worth it. See, she might have crossed the line with the two, but Zara knew that at the end of the day, they're still her friends.
