THE ONE WITH TROUBLE BREWING.
EPISODE ELEVEN.

"Okay, pick a card," Joey told Zara. "Any card."

Shooting him a suspicious look, Zara took a random card. Once she had chosen, she saw that she had picked the five of hearts.

"All right, now memorize it," said Joey. "Show it to everybody."

Showing her card, everyone (minus Chandler) leaned closer to see with Zara curious as to where this was going.

"All right, give it back to me."

Joey took the card, where he obviously took a peek before placing it back in the pile of his cards. Not wanting to ruin his magic trick, Zara tried to keep her laughter buried deep inside her. But, as Joey placed the deck of cards to his head, it was almost impossible not to laugh.

"Five of hearts," Joey guessed.

"No way," Zara joked. "You're incredible, Joey!"

Joey grinned, impressed with himself.

"Real magic does exist," Ross commented.

"Wow, Joey," said Monica. "How do you do it?"

"I can't tell you that," Joey said. "No."

Above them, there was a knock at the door as Zara glanced up at the ceiling with a frown.

"Uh, somebody's at the door on the ceiling," Ross said.

"No, that's our unbelievably loud upstairs neighbour," Rachel told the three who didn't live in the apartment.

"He took up the carpets," Monica added. "And now you can hear everything."

"I hate him," Zara decided.

"Well, why don't you go up there and ask him to just step lightly, please?" Phoebe questioned.

"I have, like five times, but the guy is so charming that I go up there to yell and then I end up apologising to him," Monica told them. "And Zara won't go because she's avoiding sex."

"Oh, that is silly," Phoebe said.

"What?" Joey exclaimed at the same time. "Why would you avoid sex?"

"I'm fed up with pointless random sex," Zara told them.

"If Zara's not going, then I'll go up there," Phoebe decided, standing again. "I'll tell him to keep it down."

"All right," said Monica. "Be my guest."

"Good luck," Rachel told her as the door closed.

"All right, all right," Joey caught their attention again. "If you really want to know how I did it, I'll show you. When you handed me back the card, what you didn't see was I looked at it so fast it was invisible to the naked eye." Then, to prove himself, Joey showed them his trick. "I just did it." And then again. "I just did it again."
