Forgeting.

She had always denied her feelings.

Pushed them aside,

as if they were non-existent.

Pushed away the people she loved,

Building her walls as she went.

Never letting people in,

afraid they'd leave her.

Like the others had done.

Tired and weak,

from being used and forgotten.

One night,

She packed her things.

Prepared to leave,

to abandon everything she's known to love

and care for.

As she walked out into the cold night,

she took one last look.

Memories came flashing into her mind.

Leaving everything behind.

How could she bare to leave?

One thing held her back that night,

maybe it was the feeling in her gut.

Of abandoning everyone she's ever loved,

and have grown to care for.

That one thing.

It held her back,

and she realized.

If she left,

Not only would she be leaving her family,

She'd be leaving herself also.

How she was blinded by all the hatred,

and suffering.

Had she not noticed she lost herself,

Didn't even recognize herself anymore.

She changed.

She went back that night,

no longer feeling vulnerable.

She went back,

to recreate her life and learn to love again.

To put herself back together again.

To leave the past behind.

To forget.
