Introduction, before  I start with the advice and tips, I would like to state that I'm not doing this to be condescending to men. (Besides some of  these tips can just as easily be applied to women as well!) These are just tips for men who would like to strive to do their best, as to break up society's current acceptance of certain behaviors.

There are things in everyday life that I see men doing that shouldn't be accepted as a norm. Men don't know what it's like to be a woman obviously, so they're not always aware of how their actions and words can affect us, and I know boys will be boys, but jeez they should have some sense or ethics to guide them.

Of course, I know that not all the men that needs these tips will see this, but if there's a chance it could help one man be more conscious of the way he is with women, then that's good enough for me. As cheesy as it sounds, change starts with you. Your actions can be an example to others, and then they can follow in your footsteps and in that case that could help to bring upon a generation of more respectful men. I see too often in media or in my own life, men acting in what I would consider unacceptable.

Men have such a big influence on women, whether that's in fatherhood, brotherhood, friendship, or romantic/sexual relationships. Men have the ability to traumatize women, and yes same goes for women, but you see more often feminists movements starting up because women take issue with a particular behavior in men.

Anyway, it only starts a cycle of women and men being hateful towards one another  because of the things they were hurt by. And I don't think most women want to truly hate men. They just hate the things they did, and want change. I think both men and women can do things to change for the better, but as a woman these are things I notice in men that I would like to see different. And if men have any complaints about women's behaviors then feel free to call those out. It's only fair. So I hope this doesn't come off as offensive to anyone. I truly have the best intentions with this.
