Chapter 14
I slowly opened my eyes, blinding them by the bright beams coming through the window. I smiled. Today was the day I was going to leave the hospital. The clock read 8:24 am. Jayden said he'd pick me up at half past.
I stretched my arms and the door opened suddenly, making me jump. I smiled when I saw Jayden. He had come to the hospital everyday and I was very grateful. He always read stories to me, gave me things, even snuck some food in so I don't have to eat the hospital food.
He threw me a hoodie and some jeans. "I've got a surprise for you." He told me, smiling.
He left the room and I quickly changed out of my hospital gown. It was going to be a good day today.
When I stood up, I wobbled a little. I hadn't used my feet in eleven days. Jayden opened the door and smirked. "Can't walk?" He chuckled and I scowled at him.

We had been to the cinema and were at the fair. We went on many rides and I would say I was exhausted but I haven't used my legs in days, I just can't.
I took a piece of Jayden's candy floss and put it in my mouth and he shook his head, making me laugh.
"You've got a sugar rush." He smirked.
"No! How ridiculous I'm a grown woman! I don't have- whoops!" I giggled after I almost fell over and he caught me. "Let's go on the Ferris wheel!" I squealed, grabbing his hand and running towards the colorful spinning wheel.
When we got to the ride, there was a muscular man letting people on and off the ride. "Hello!" I greeted him, waving and flashing him a bright smile. He gave a tight smile back.
"Hey." He had a very low voice, kind of like that boxer... I forgot his name.
"Your guns are ginormous! How did they get so big?" I asked, staring at them in awe.
"I work out." He answered.
"Ooh." I felt them and giggled before Jayden cleared his throat.
"Can we get on the ride please?" He asked as if pretending to be polite. The muscular guy stepped aside and let us on. Who knew that they would need such a guy to do this? It's not a nightclub.
The ride started to move slowly and Jayden pulled a box out of his pocket before handing it to me. "What is it?" I asked, confused.
He gave me a cheesy grin. "Your birthday present. I know Avery took yours away because I saw it broken on the floor so I-"
"HOLY SHIT OF ALL SHITS IN THE LAND OF SHITS! YOU GOT ME AN IPHONE 6?" I stared at the gold smartphone in my hand. I looked up at him. "I think I do have a sugar rush."
He gave me a smirk and I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him.
After a few seconds, I pulled away. "I really am on a sugar rush. Sorry, I-" I was interrupted by him pushing his lips onto mine.
Our kiss was perfect. Not too rough, not to soft, just... perfect. We spent the rest of the ride cuddling and looking up at the stars.
We sat in the car but he didn't start the engine. I could feel his eyes on me and when I looked up he smiled. I was confused. "What? Is there something on my face?" I asked, raising my hand to my cheek. He chuckled and shook his head. I looked towards my feet.
"I just wanted to let you know that you're special to me and that I meant what I said in the hospital." I looked up at him. He did?
"I meant what I said too." I whispered. I don't know if it was the right thing to say, it was really easy for him to get me nervous.
He twisted the car key in the hole, making the car rumble slightly. "And Jayden?" He looked up at me after moving the gear stick. "Please, call me Charlie."
