At this point I wasn't living.
I was just being kept alive.
...beep...beep...beep...
I had no idea why they were doing so. I no longer had any purpose in this world. No one truly wanted me. I couldn't comprehend why on earth they wouldn't just let me go.
...beep...beep...beep...
I didn't mind the physical pain. It was self inflicted, after all. But the mental pain. The psychological agony I was in knowing that no one actually loved me anymore, that they were all giving up on me. I just wanted it all to go away.
Why wouldn't anybody put me out of my misery?
...beep...beep...beep...
The flat light that stuck above me in the room was blinding, though I couldn't turn away because of the leather straps that had me bound to the bed, at each wrist and ankle like cold dead hands that'd been frozen solid in rigor mortis. The air was icy, my eyes were stinging, my mouth was dry. But anything painful, anything uncomfortable, I'd rather endure than this internal war that I was having with myself.
...beep...beep...beep...
The sound of the heart monitor which would alert the nurses to any change in my heart was beginning to make my ears sting. Like a single droplet of water dripping onto one place on the skin, it was as though the sound had started to burn a hole through my eardrums. But as I said, anything at all.
...beep...beep......beeeeeeeee....
The sound drew on, as though I'd died. But I could still feel my heart in my chest, beating away.
I was still alive.

Tim's POV
The heart monitor came off of her easy. At this point we had to move quick. It was likely that the nurses and doctors were on their way now, rushing to check on the girl. We knew that, so I pulled all the wires I could find off of her while Toby and Hoodie undid her restraints, seemingly mindful of the bandages wrapped all the way up her arms and legs, even delicately around her fingers.
