A vodka-based cocktail. 30 proof alcohol.

First, sugar rim. Wet the rim with a lemon and dip in the sugar. 

Then, place ice in the shaker and add 15ml of vodka, 15ml of sloe gin, 15ml of dry vermouth, and lemon juice.

Kiss of Fire

"Here's your cocktail miss", said Areum to the female customer who sits across her. Kiss of Fire makes you want to drink. With one sip of my cocktail, everyone without fail craves more cocktail. They drink, and drink, and drink some more. They can't help but keep drinking. It's a magical cocktail. 

Hello, my name is Areum, Byul Areum will turn 26 this June 21st. Yeah, by Byul as in the star (별) and Areum as in beautiful (아름). My mom gave me this name cause she wants me to be the most beautiful star that can light people's lives at night. Isn't that sweet of her~

 My mom and dad met at the bar dad was working when they were still in university, of course, my dad is older. By 5 years to be exact cause dad still hasn't graduated at that time. They fell in love and had me, their beautiful daughter. 

Since young, I always enjoy watching my dad doing cocktails and then I start to plant a dream to be a bartender like my dad too when I grow up. And here I am as the main bartender of this bar owned by my father called "Starry Night". 

 My dad is the CEO while my mom is the finance manager of the bar. Three of us and some part-timers handle the bar in the middle of Itaewon, the busiest street in Seoul. Our bar is not as big and as popular as the others but we still have some regular from time to time and we like it that way. I heard that the other bars were always packed with customers and barely had any rest time we are thankful that ours not like that.

"WHY DOES THE SALE THIS MONTH IS NOT GOING WELL?! YEOBO, CAN YOU DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT???". I can hear my mom's voice yelling at my dad from here. Yeah, I think they are both in dad's office to discuss this month's sale and I guess it's not doing well as usual... I just stay quiet and continue minding my own business, wiping the glassware while spacing out. 

The night view of Seoul is mesmerizing as usual. As I was looking outside the window, a pair of couples go through the door with their hands linking with each other. "Welcome to Starry Night!", I greet the customers. They sit at the small table beside the window and straight away looking at the menu choices for the drinks. I have my eyes glued to them until they called me for an order. 

While I was observing, the couple is arguing cutely about what to drink and what to eat. I even smile a bit without realizing it because of how cute they look together. It must be nice to be in love huh~ What about my love life? Hmmm, I am single for now because I want to focus on my career first. I had boyfriends before but all of them are either trash or jerk. And my recent one is THE BIGGEST JERK EVER cause he dated me just because of a bet he made with his friend... I was hurt and heartbroken and from that day onward, I decided to give myself a break....

But being the main bartender in this bar, of course, there's a lot of guys that try to hit on me every day. Some of them have the looks but mostly they look like they want to drag me to the motel so I either ignore or reject all of them. What if they try to force me? Easy, I will just call mom or dad duh~~ Good luck to their asses because my parents are such protective ones so I don't really have to worry about it that much haha. "Chogiyo!", called the couple while raising their hands. I go to their table and immediately took their order. I crack my neck a little then start the show of my magical and special cocktails.

Oh, and if there anybody here watches a webdrama called "Summer Guys"? All of the drinks that will be mention in this book mostly based on the drama.

 Since I don't have much knowledge about alcohol and cocktail so I watch a few dramas to get some inspiration. 

Hope you guys understand why it suddenly clicks that you remember it elsewhere.
