Symbiosis: At World's End

Family Bond

Brianna stood frozen as the symbiote, now revealed to be hosted by her mother, rebonded to its host, who immediately jumped out of the way as Merrick came hurtling down and smashed a very small crater where she had just been standing.

"We can sort out your incredibly wacky family later! Right now, we need to buy time and focus on surviving!"

Brianna shook herself back to reality, internally agreeing with his assessment. She charged towards the acidic one and began spraying webbing from her fingertips, trapping it in a cocoon before she began whaling on it with unmatched ferocity! Wendell, who had been fighting it previously, switched to the toothy one, unleashing two beams from her hands. It snarled at her and held its massive arms out in front of it, trying to protect itself from the energy blasts. She maintained the blasts, slowly pushing it back. Suddenly, she was struck with a powerful blow from the silver one and was thrown across the clearing. It started to close in, two tendrils raised and sharpened to razor sharp points.

The two sharpened appendages were impeded when Paula leapt past, using her arm spikes, with added bioelectricity, to cleave through the spikes. She landed and launched two bursts of the electricity at the silver one, throwing it off balance. Wendell took this opportunity to leap into the air and flip over the silver one, sending energy blasts down it's back! The symbiote roared in pain and partially separated from its host. Wendell gasped in shock.

"Mitchell!"

The symbiote rebonded to Mitchell, who rounded on Wendell and began swinging his tendrils at her.

"Indeed! Your work is exhilarating! I must admit I was hesitant at first, creating a symbiote for my own personal use, but the power! I can certainly see why you sought to create your own!"

Wendell snarled under her mask and launched herself into the air, swiping her fists at Mitchell.

Meanwhile, Brianna was back to dealing with her mother. Sadly, she didn't seem to hear Brianna when she called her 'Mom' earlier, thus she had gone straight back into the brawl. Brianna was now fighting much more hesitantly and cautiously. She didn't want to hurt her mother after all. Unfortunately, the sentiment wasn't shared. Brianna bent sideways, avoiding a strike from the tail. She grabbed it and yanked, throwing her mother into a tree. She immediately began to unleash as much webbing as she could muster, creating a massive glue trap that effectively knocked her mother out of the fight.

She spun and charged Darkhound, who had Paula on the defensive. Brianna snarled as she leapt forward, spinning as she went and delivering a bone-jarring kick to the back of Darkhound's head, sending him reeling. Paula took this chance to charge her fists with bioelectricity and began a brutal beatdown, delivering blow after punishing blow. Darkhound finally took all the punishment he could endure and was knocked unconscious. The two friends bumped the sides of their fists together before splitting up to help Merrick and Wendell with their respective opponents.

Merrick was dealing with the acidic one, as evidenced by the few smoking wounds on his arms. Merrick's symbiote was mending the damage, but it still hurt something fierce. He snuck past an attempted punch and delivered an uppercut, lifting the symbiote off its feet and straight into the air! He then leapt into the air and delivered a kick with both legs, launching it into a tree. He flipped and landed before launching two web cords at his opponent which latched onto its shoulders. He then heaved with all his might, swinging the symbiote in an arc over his head and slammed it into the ground! Brianna rushed forward and launched three spikes, impaling their opponent in the gut. It dragged itself off the spikes and swung an open claw at them. They both leapt over the strike and each landed a web-line on its feet before yanking. Then they cocooned it in a massive pile of webbing before Brianna leapt into the air and delivered one last punch, knocking the acid symbiote unconscious.
