I heard a distant and familiar, voice in the distance...Mom?!

Oh my gosh! Granny! Its-. Wait I'm confused.

Amelia! Red follow the sound! Granny started racing, her white fur was beautiful. I wonder what color mine was? When I caught up to Granny, the howl, or call, was getting louder. But then I had a thought, what if I can hear it really well only because I have good hearing, and maybe its really far away in reality. That sent chills through me, thinking that I will never see my mom ever again.

But I pushed the thought away, racing to get to my family. Speaking of family, since my mom might be free, the rest of my family might be free. There's a happy thought. But what if there's only old wolves there, what I'm even lonelier?

Granny, do you think there will be wolves my age there? I asked.

Yes, dear. Maybe even younger. The wolf chooses what age we...you know. She answered. This mind link is really handy. Any more questions? She asked. Actually, I could come up with ten but I decided I would ask her only one of them right now.

Yeah, can other wolves hear our mind links? Like while we're talking. I asked.

Sadly, yes. She paused to sniff the air, ha ha, it looked funny. I sniffed the air too and smelled, ewww! Nasty, I smell urine! We're here! I guessed she smelled it too.

Ugh! Granny, what the heck is that smell!?

She laughed, or laughed in my mind. That, dear is the border line of our pack. Wait, what? Then I decided to sniff more and grimaced, that is very strong. I can't believe we're here! Then I stepped over the pee, walked a few steps, and sniffed once more. I smelled something, or someone, familiar. I followed the smell. It led me straight into a big rock. Whoa. I circled the rock and only half way around, I saw a big hole. I walked inside and then I heard a wolf walking up behind me, I tensed. I turned around really fast and meant to growl, but a yelp came out instead.

A huge sleek black male wolf was standing there. Wait, male? Then I started to feel really strong like something was filling me with the best feeling. The wolf said, Hey. Remember me?

Who are you? I don't even know you. I growled very low and stopped. I ran right past him, so close, our fur brushed. I raced over to Granny.

What a lovely day, isn't it Red?

Yes. Granny? Is there such thing as a male wolf? I mean like involved with the curse.

Yes, dear. Why? I explained the encounter to her and she gasped. I have never heard of someone meeting their mate on the first day. She said to herself more than to my face. What?! My m-m-mate? Why don't you lie down with me on this fine day. I sat down with her and she said, When you find your mate, your Imprint with a human doesn't ever, ever break. Even if you, um, mate. You are always-. I turned as I saw that same black wolf walking up behind us.

The wolf looked sad and said, Red! Its me, Peter.
