Pov: Elsa

"Elsa, we need to talk."

My father said, standing alongside my mother in my doorway. Judging by the tone of his voice, this talk wasn't going to be a pleasant one.

"What is it," I asked, "have I done something wrong?"

"Just come down to the parlor after you're done with whatever it is you're doing," my father replied, "oh, and Elsa?"

"Yes, father?"

"Put your gloves back on." And with that he turned away and walked down the castle's long hall, my mother followed behind him after giving me a comforting smile.

I closed my book about Frost Giants and tucked it underneath my pillow. It was illegal to be reading about such topics like this anyways, there were serious consequences.I had managed to keep the book hidden for quite some time, it filled me with guilt to keep secrets from my parents, but the way I had acquired the book filled me with much more than guilt; shame, humiliation...love. It's not easy to find books about Frost Giants in a kingdom where they are hated. My father had all books and text documenting the ancient beings burned. So I did what I had to do, talked to Yela. How can I even begin to describe Yela? He's the king of criminals, an outlaw, a merchant; some say he doesn't exist, that he lurks in the shadows, stealing in silence. But they don't know that he's as real as the sun in the sky, I should know since I've had the honor of doing business with him.

But Yela hadn't only given me a book about ancient magical creatures. No, he'd given me something else, something more powerful than any magical being ever to live. He gave me a lover, whose dark hair and green eyes I'll never forget. He gave me Loki.
