Quick Notes:
Since I copied and pasted part of my story, the spacing is all weird....

My story starts off with a dream. The dream that people call life.
My green eyes flashed from the plate of food in front of me to my best friend, Maylin. She sat quietly at the table, which was normal, but after twenty minutes of not talking, I could tell that something was wrong. I picked at my mashed potatoes, then glanced at her again. She also hadn't eaten much. I mean, sure the food isn't that great at our school despite the fact that it's the top school in the country, but people don't just pass up meals these days. Food is life, and life is something that we all liked very much.
"What's wrong May?" I asked her as I took a bite of the potatoes.
She looked up at me, frowning. Her long brown hair was tangled and her brown eyes seemed to look right through me. "Nothing," she mumbled.
I pushed the potatoes to the side and tried eating the chicken. "Are you sure? You seem... sad."
She shook her head and stood up. "Just drop it," she said and picked her tray up. She went to go and dump her food.
I pushed a strand of hair away from my face and watched her. She seemed to drag her feet more than she picked them up, half walking and half shuffling across the cafeteria.
I looked towards another table, filled with the 'Amazons'. The Amazons were the populars at our school, the rich, the snobby, and the mean. Each morning they'd wake up at 4:00 am exactly and text each other to make sure they were all awake. Then they would spend the next hour choosing the day's clothes, make up, and accessories. At 5:00, they would make sure their outfit was good enough for the day. At 5:30, they hop in the shower. At 6:14, they walk down their large marble staircases and sit down at a table with nothing on it but a bell. After the bell is rung, a maid arrives with breakfast. Finally, at 7:00, they go to their cars/limos/other means of transportation and arrive at the school around 7:30. Don't ask how I know all that...
I blew some non existing hair out of my face and scanned the table. I found that it was my job to make sure nobody else got dragged into the group. So far, I had saved myself and Maylin. And I had lost Arachne.
I felt my fists clench. Arachne. My ex-best friend and the girl who I had caught kissing my boyfriend two months earlier. We used to be close, but after that, I stayed with May and she randomly became an Amazon. I loathed it. Do people change like that all the time? But what can you expect from a person if you catch them kissing your boyfriend while your too busy trying to encourage your other best friend to say hello to a guy? And what-?
"Lex?" Maylin's soft voice cut into my thoughts.
I looked at her and again blew the hair out of my face. "Yeah?" I asked, still thinking about that night.
"You ok? You aren't having.... hallucinations are you?" She may think I'm crazy, but at least she was talking.
"No," I said flatly.
"Oh, well uh, I need to tell you something but-" May was cut off. A chunk of cheese, some yogurt, milk, half a salad, and something that wasn't identifiable had been poured onto her head. She sat there, frozen in shock and started hyperventilating. She turned around and looked up at the worst time-more milk was poured onto her, but this time in her face.
