Introduction

Hey there!

I suggest not skipping this as it explains a lot.

First of all, this is an AU all about halves (surprising right?). We've got Half-Breeds, Half Souls, and Soul Linking (explained later).

There are 3 forms of a Half-Breed. 

1. A Mostly Human Half-Breed: They stay in a Human form, meaning they retain their Soul Trait. They have a natural talent for the use of Mana, but through training can also use Magra.

2. A Mostly Monster Half-Breed: They stay in a monster form, meaning they lose access to their Soul Trait. They have a natural talent for Magra, but through training can use Mana.

3. A True Half-Breed: Easily able to switch between a Human and Monster form, while also able to combine the two for a unique form. They retain a Soul Trait and have a natural talent for both Mana and Magra.

If it wasn't obvious, Mana is Human Magic, while Magra is Monster Magic.

Half Souls, are another thing entirely.

A Half Soul, is when a Human has two Soul Traits. It is extremely rare, as the person needs a perfect balance between the two traits.

Half Souls are powerful, because it can combine the unique abilities of two Soul Traits.

Say you had a mix of Bravery and Patience. You would have the Bravery to fight any foe, but also the Patience to wait for opportunities instead of simply rushing into battle.

Anyways, if you find these ideas of mine cool, just wait for the story. And if you want to use these ideas (although idk why you would), you can. I don't even really care about credit or anything as this is just somethin random I decided on making. 

So in short: You can copy these ideas (Half-Breeds and whatnot) without the need for credit. Although taking the actual story is not allowed.

ALSO. This is probably going to be a year or two from now, but I plan on making a HalfTale game, as being a Game Dev is my choice for a career. 

Oh and another ALSO. Originally there was a prologue for this story, but I decided to remove it as I didn't think it fit with the story.

So cause of that, I'll write the history in here for all the lore freaks out there as I am one myself. Unanswered questions are pretty annoying after all. (Also, read this with an old wizard voice. Just trust me on this.)

Long ago, two races ruled over the land

These two races, split apart by their differences, each lived in a seperate half of the world

The HUMANS ruled the Surface

While the MONSTERS ruled the Underground

The HUMANS, out of fear for the MONSTERS, sealed the Underground with a powerful Barrier crafted by the 8 Great Wizards:

Damala, of DETERMINATION

Zaron, of BRAVERY

Aria, of PATIENCE

Astro, of INTEGRITY

Balask, of PERSEVERANCE

Kala, of KINDNESS

Solar, of JUSTICE

And the last remains UNKNOWN...

The spell succeeded!

Oh btw, the protag of this story is a bit OP. Why the hell do you think I made an UNKOWN Soul Trait? Now I can make any OP ability I want and no one can stop me!

Oh but there is a character other than him thats even more OP... Eh, its fine. 

Welp, the first chapter should come out within the next week, soooooooooooo yea.

This is just a shitty story that came from the mind of a fuckin 12 year old originally, so let's see where we go from here.
