"Things are starting to get boring around here... I thought I might play a little game."
The brunette turned his attention back to the deity that sat across from him. Sure, they may have been inconspicuous in the tavern, but saying things like that would start a fight if he'd ever heard them. George didn't dare interrupt him though, seeing as he easily had the power to kill him on the spot if he so much as spoke a word that he didn't want to hear. DreamXD was scary like that. "Oh?"
The god hummed, resting his arms on the table elegantly. He always had this kind of poise, otherworldly grace to him George noted quietly. It was almost like XD didn't care about anybody hearing the two of them, almost like he WANTED them to hear him. "There's two people I've been keeping my eye on for a while. They aren't from this world, far from it actually. They're otherworldly, they wouldn't know how to act or function in this world." He noted, his gloved hands resting on top of one another. "But they're powerful, nothing like this world has ever seen."
This had definitely caught the brunette's attention. He'd taken off his goggles earlier, seeing as they were quite an identifiable attribute. He fiddled with them a bit anxiously in his fingers, he panicked internally but he acted as unbothered as he usually did externally. "Is that so?"
The deity nodded once again, though it was difficult to read his expression. He wore a mask that seemed almost fused onto his human appearing face, it had a constant open-mouthed smile drawn on the bottom. Where his eyes would've been were marked out in an X with some kind of material George couldn't quite figure out.
"They're both hybrids with their own abilities. They're equally as sharp-tongued, though one is mouthier than the other. It'd be fun watching them get into trouble because they couldn't put a lid on it," The cloaked male mused. George's milky brown eyes could almost image the demented grin twisted onto the god's face underneath the mask, but he brushed off the thought in favor of focusing more on the details of the conversation.
"You've got my attention, what kind of hybrids are they?" George answered curtly, twirling the classic white framed goggles in his fingers coyly.
DreamXD nodded, his lifeless mask staring back into George's half-lidded brown irises. "That would spoil a bit too much of the fun. Though, I suppose you'd manage to find out anyway" George waited in an almost tense silence as he hoped and prayed that the god would spill his secrets. After deliberating, the god simply shrugged, "You'll have to meet them to find out, George." The brunette tried to not let his disappointment be too known, instead just nodding and shaking it off as well. What really perked his interest though, was what the god said afterwards.
"For now, you'll just have to wait and see."
