Vermin:

The moment I killed her she simply faded into the white below her, and I was alone again. The world was so small when I was in it alone, but the possibilities so big. I liked to think of myself as a optimist. So many chances to create wonderful things in this place. So many people to eat in this world.

I had been here as long as time itself. I've been here since the Big Bang or God's creation of the world or what have you. I was still in the form of the little girl, her eyes streaked with red, it moving down onto her freckles and staining her pale flesh. The pink only just visible in the rose of her cheeks.

The cat, his slick black fur and bright blue eyes would entice the child back into this world. His tail kinked like a chip on his shoulder. Even in this life he was careful of everything that he was doing. It was all so simple.

"Coraline Joans, you're next."

The Other world was one that I had grown familiar with over the time I had spent watching through Abel's eyes and planting the doll is different places. Coraline was sleeping in her bed, her chest rising and falling in a calm natural rhythm.

Jumping on her chest, I pawed at her nose, scratching it ever so slightly so Coraline would wake up.

"Hello there." Without so much as a backwards glance I jumped off the bed and towards the door.

"Do we need to to go somewhere." I nodded, moving out the door.

Coraline followed me.

All going to plan.
