It's a simple joke between four kids in a dying world. Old Books being a single source of entertainment, those and the other three. Adam, being the eldest, was like the leader of their little squad. Adam, Then Lilith, Rose, and Micheal.

Adam and Micheal, we're the closest out of the four, even though Micheal was the youngest. The two could be mistaken for brothers at times. Both with wild brown-looking hair. Even though Adams was more of a dirty blond. Lilith had long black hair that was always down and it went to her shoulder blades. Her light brown skin and her curls went well together. Rose had fiery red hair, and a personality to match. Being loud as she may, he was as loyal a friend as any of them.

The world ended 6 Years ago. Humans being the cause, but just because it ended doesn't mean everyone died. The world was so loud when it ended, most adults went deaf. And Radiation killed many of the young. The world looked like a brown and black ash-filled wasteland for 3 of these 6 years. Though toppled over buildings and above average-sized creatures were common, none of it startled these four. They were oblivious to how dangerous this world really was.

"C'mon Michael, Keep up!" Lilith encouraged the young boy and ducking into a small space in a building. Soon followed Rose. And the last two outside were Adam and Micheal.

"What do you think the two are doing in there?" Micheals's small higher-pitched voice asked.

"I dunno' what do other 6-year-old girls do?" Adam asked back. Micheal's face went pale and he looked back at his best friend.

"Do you think they're gonna kiss us?"

"What? What's a kiss?" Adam was confused, what the hell was a kiss?

"My older brother, Chase, said that a kiss is where people put their lips on someone else's face."

"...You mean like the leeches?" Adam had seen leeches before, his father had come home with three on his face, a very scary sight to see, especially since it's his last memory of the man. Micheal nodded.

"I don't want to have anything on my face-"

"C'mon boy! You guys aren't scared are you?" Rose poked her head out and teased the two.

"I'm never scared!" Adam said proudly. Stiffly walking towards Rose and crouching down." Micheal, let's go. We'll be fine." Adam gave a nervous smile and ducked inside. Micheal quickly crawled in after his friend.

Lilith sat proudly in the middle of the little room she and Rose had created together. It was their own little clubhouse. Of course, when they got bigger the boys could help make the room bigger too. But for a six-and-a-half-year-old, this room would be perfect.
Rose and Lillith had discovered the room while exploring after Teaching Time. Where everyone would learn something new. They had stumbled upon this building that seemed mostly intact. The entrance collapsed but there was more than one way to get in.

"Lilly, What is this place?" Adam asked, finally crawling all the way into the room.

"I and Rose found it a few weeks ago. It took a bit of stealing and cleaning to get it to look this nice, but it was worth it. The room Had string lights going across the top of it, and the floor was littered with blankets. Pushed against the widows and far walls seemed to be tables, but none like any these four had ever seen.

"What are we gonna do here?" Micheal asked, slightly scared.

" This is gonna be the 'clubhouse'," Lilith said, walking closer to the tables.
