Dont turn on the light
She commandered the basement of her dorm as soon as she realized she would have to pull an all-nighter for tommorows exam. Her roomate Jenna likes to go to bed early so she packed up all her stuff to go and study.
It was 2 o clock when she realized she had forgotten a textbook upstairs. With a dramatic sigh she rose and climbed the stairs to her third floor dorm room. The lights were dim in the long hallway and the old boards creaked under her weary tread. She reached the room and turned the handle as softly as she could, open the door wide enough to slip inside so the hall lights wouldnt wake her roomate.
The room was filled with a strange mettalic smell. She frowned a bit her arms breaking out in chills. Their was a strange feeling of malice in the room as if a gaze was fixed upon her making her uncomfortable. it was a mind trick she thought it was a symptom of the all nighter. She could hear Jenna on the far side of the room brething hevier then she should. as if she was running. She must have cought a cold last week.
Her fingers closed on the textbook and left the room as quiet as she could be. Relieved to be out of the room she ran downstairs and callaosed on a overstuffed chair. She finally decided that enough was enough . She hopes she could get a good couple hours of sleep before her exam. The first of the suns rays greeted her as she slowly slid open the door. her nose was met by the same earth mettalic smell from earlier. Her eyes met a bloody scene nowone would want to see.
Jenna was spread-eagled on her bead against the wall. her thraot cut from ear to ear and her nightdress stained with blood . Two drops of blood fell from the satured blanket covered with blood making a drip drop noise sounding like a leaky facet.
Scream after Scream poured from her mouth. But she couldnt stop her self any more than she could cease wringing her hands. All along the hallway doors slammed and running footstaips came.
Within moments students stopped at the doorway to look at the horrid seen. one of her friends gripped her arm and pointed at the wall. her eyes widened at what she saw. Then she fainted in her friends arms.
On the wall above her bed was written in her roomates blood was 'Glad you didnt turn the lights on'
