I see Dr. Craft with a syringe coming towards me. I try to move but I'm pinned down by the testing chair. I try to scream for help but just my luck, my mouth was covered. BOOM! I hear a huge explosion, I feel nothing. I hear someone saying my name. Is someone here to help? No. Their voice is angry. I try to pinpoint the voice."Ace?..ACE!" I heard a squeaky voice say, it was the voice of my teacher. "What?" I mumbled, opening my eyes and looking up to see the angry science teacher Mrs. Macky glaring at me. "You shouldn't be sleeping in class, you're getting detention, young lady!" Mrs. Macky said, slapping me in the face. I was ready to punch her in the face. I told her 1,000 times my pronouns are they/them. I look over and I see I look over and I see Mitch, the light blue ghost boy with messy hair and an oversized yellow faded sweater over his green that skirt shaking his head at me.
Seeing him has become pretty normal for me because when I was little I was adopted by Dr. Craft who tested some drugs on me which let me see and hear ghosts. Bring, ring. That was the signal school was done.
After detention I was skateboarding home by a café when someone who looked like their name was Chad and was a football quarterback went up to me and said "Hey want to get something to drink with me?" This made Mitch mad. You see Mitch and I are very close like siblings. Mitch threw a book at them and it hit them in the face. I quickly turn to get on my skateboard. I slowly realized what happened. I went home with Mitch following close behind.
"Did something happen while you were out last night?" I say trying to collect my thoughts. I let him and the others go out at night because ghosts can't sleep. "He did go into that weird factory last night." Maggie said, butting into our conversation. "Oh yeah that pink goo might have somthing to do with this." Mitch said. "I should have known you were causing problems Mitch." I said, sighing. "Ace we probably could fix this if he went into the goo again." Maggie said. "Yeah that might work but we would have to sneak in." I said, trying to figure out what to do. "I hate to break it to you big sib but it was abandoned." Mitch said giggling. "Did you just call me big sib?!" I asked close to tearing up "N-NO!" Mitch yelled embarrassed. Maggie started spinning in the air dying of laughter.
CRASH
Mitch had fallen onto the ground he was alive again "No, no, no, what, wh-"
"Mitch, cool it. we can fix this, we just have to go back to that factory then you're back to being a ghost if you want to be dead again."
"I do! Everyone I knew is dead!"
"Okay, just show me where the factory is."
"O-okay..."
We walked for around an hour then Mitch said "This is it." I nodded and walked in. It looked like we were on a movie set, the rust, the metal everywhere, it looked almost fake. "Where is the pink goo?" I asked. "Up here." Mitch said, pointing at the stairs.
Clink, Clink, Clink.
The stair made the most obnoxious noise. We made it up as the sun set. it looked redder than any sun set I had ever seen. "This is the thing that brought me back to life." he said, sounding almost dead.
"Okay do you just jump in?"
"..."
"..."
"..."
He didn't respond
"Mitch is everyth-"
Mitch grabbed me and dragged me in with him.
"It's okay big sib, I know how much you hate them, your teacher, that man from the café, everyone . you won't have to deal with them when you're dead."
I let out an echoing scream but I didn't feel any pain. This was it, I was going to die at the hands of my best friend. It's all going black. Goodbye world..
