Track 1: Parenthood Simulation

JENNIE POV

"Okay, class, today we will start our week project, now pay attention closely," the teacher announced to the class.

Uhh, class, so boring. But at least it was health class, and I do sometimes pay attention to it. To be honest, if you really think about it, health class taught me about the human body and how to take care of it, which might help me later. Math, Science, English, and History do not teach you those things. 

"So, class today, we are going to be doing the parent simulation project," the teacher said.

"What's that," one of my classmates asked. 

"Well, you might be wondering what are in these boxes located at the back of the class," she pointed to make sure everyone saw them. "Last week, a truck from our school district health program brought these in and placed them in our class."

The teacher then walked over to the back and brought one of the boxes in the front. She cut it up with a knife and presented to the class what was inside them.

"In here, we have a simulation, baby," she held it up. "As you can see, it has the shape of what an infant would look like. 

She then turned it to the back and lifted the shirt.

"On the back, there is a score counter; to maintain the score, you must feed it, change it, and do what you must do to take care of the baby," she said. "Your score will go down if you don't do these things."

The class groaned a bit after hearing what the project was. 

"Oh, come on, you guys will learn a lot with your partner," she said.

"Wait a minute, partner," I said.

"Yes, Jennie, you will have a partner, and that goes for everyone as well," the teacher said. "I have a list of the names you will be partnered up with, and to be more realistic about this parenthood simulation, girls, you will be partnered with one boy."

Everyone in the room went silent about how they were trying to figure out how to pass this assignment.

"If you can keep your baby's score over 80%, you will have a passing grade," the teacher said before everyone got up from their seats and checked who they will be paired up with.

"Well, looks like we got paired up together," Yoongi said behind me.

"Oh hey," I replied.

I went with Yoongi to the back of the class and picked a box with a baby inside. We opened it up, and I grabbed the simulation baby along with a toy milk bottle. 

*BELL RINGS*

"Okay, every one, one week," the teacher said before we all left the classroom.
