Thorn had been in the castle for a few days now, but no matter how many times she explored the place it only seemed to get bigger.

The room she had been staying in was gorgeous. In the middle of the left side of the room, pushed towards a wall was a queen sized bed. It had been lain with a soft blue duvet, and what seemed to be very fluffy white pillows. Closer to the right side of the room, there was a small couch under the window. If she wanted she could read while looking out the window whenever she wanted. A few feet away from the window, was a vanity with a small closet beside it. At first Thorn had pondered why it was so small, as she was sure she could only fit 2 day and 2 sleeping outfits in it. But one of the helpers at the castle explained that there was a walk-in closet in the hall next to her room that stored more clothes, as they didn't want to crowd her room. Overall, she was in love with the place. And that was just her room.

The castle itself had pillars made of marble lining the hallways. Many of them led to a throne room, where in the centre of the room a luxurious chandelier hung. Under it, a large dining table big enough to fit 7 people. Unlit candles lined the centre of the table and beautiful marble plates and cutlery laid in front of each seat. Outside had been a beautiful garden, with a small pond in the middle for creatures that weren't too harmful. There were also two water fountains on both sides of the castle entrance making everything look extravagant.

Thorn made her way back to her room, but not without getting lost a few times. She sat on her comfortable bed and sighed. She had been immensely bored. For the past few days, all the boys had avoided her. The reason? She had no idea. She had thought it had something to do with being human a few times, but Rose had assured her that it couldn't be that, as she was apparently not human. That news had hit her like a truck, but she was happy to know the boys didn't hate her for that. She decided to do something about it, thinking that if she was kind towards them, they would be nice to her.

It was almost evening, Thorn figured that some of the workers in the castle would be making dinner at the moment. She rushed towards her small closet where she stored 4 outfits, and chose one that was flexible enough for her to wear and work. A few days before, she had asked one of the seamstresses to fix up modern outfits for her. She threw on a white cropped shirt, but it was oversized so when she lifted her arms not much of her stomach was seen. She wore black high waisted cargo pants and since she didn't feel the need for shoes, she wore white knee socks to match her shirt. With that, she ran over to the kitchen to help cook.

"Ms.Goddess" one of the cooks called.

"I said you guys could call me Thorn, after all some of you are my age, and maybe even older than me. And the word 'Goddess' makes me uncomfortable" she pouted and some of the cooks chuckled at her childish nature.

"Alright. Thorn, why are you in the kitchen? Shouldn't you be preparing yourself for dinner?"

"I felt the need to give the boys a peace offering so they don't avoid me anymore" she said walking towards the counter to see what she could help with.

"They aren't really avoiding you," the cook said again. Thorn who was surprised by this, stopped moving.

"They're not?"

"No. It's just, they don't really communicate with each other. They are all from different kingdoms, some of them lived in kingdoms that are enemies with the other. So when you were brought together here, it's no surprise they didn't attempt to make conversation with you. They're all just shy."

"Interesting" Thorn nodded her head

"Well," another cook said "Lia here distracted you long enough for us to finish cooking everything" he said referring to the other cook.
