Hated or Misunderstood

The beginning

Kirishima Pov:

It was a normal day, just like any other. The sun was shining through my bright red curtains and I could hear a few nearby birds chirping. Today was a special day. I will be confessing today. I have been planning for months for this day. The one I'm going to confess to, the one I love, I have loved since we became friends our first year at U.A, two years ago. His name is Katsuki Bakugou. I love everything about him. His soft, blonde spiky hair, his devilish smirk and his deep blood red eyes. He's everything I ever wanted and soo, hopefully, he'll be mine.

"Shitty hair get your ass out here or you'll be late to class!" I was torn from my thoughts when I heard the voice of the man himself, though I wish he would be a little nicer, especially in the morning.

"I'm coming, just give me a minute!" I respond as I quickly get myself changed and ready for class.I don't have enough time to spike up my hair like I usually do, so I'll just have to put it in a ponytail, great. As soon as I get my hair up and I do one final quick check in the mirror-

"Hurry the fuck up shitty hair I don't have all day!" He began repeatedly knocking on my door and shouting until I opened it and faced him. "Bout time moron, c'mon we're late because of you!" I quickly followed him, making sure to shut my door before we left.

On the way to class I began getting very nervous. I wanna just tell him now, but it isn't time yet. I have to wait until tonight at Mina's sleepover, she's the one who helped me plan this whole thing and I don't wanna ruin her plans. I internally slapped myself as we continued walking

Time skip

It was time to ask him. I walked over towards Bakugou and took a deep breath. I was able to get his attention rather quickly, was I too loud?

"What do you want, shitty hair?" He looked at me with those dreamy eyes of his and I gulped as my knees started to feel weak.

"I was wondering if you wanted to come to the sleepover Mina is having tonight. Sero, Mina, Kaminari and I will be there" I scratched the back of my head and watched as Bakugou stared into my soul. Damn, he can be creepy sometimes.

"Sure, whatever" He rolled his eyes and my jaw practically hit the floor. He said yes?! I honestly was not expecting that.

"A-alright, meet us in the common room around 6:30, alright?" I was so excited and happy he agreed that I didn't even realize he was walking away. I checked the time and we had about 3 hours until we had to meet in the common room

I started walking to my dorm quickly. As soon as I got there I hopped in the shower. Once I got out I debated on putting my hair up or leaving it down.

"He calls me shitty hair either way, so it won't matter. Eh, it's a sleepover, we'll be sleeping at some point, I'll leave it down" I dried off and got dressed into a pair of grey sweatpants and my black Crimson Riot hoodie before looking at the time. 4:30. I still have two hours. I decided to chill on my bed and watch a movie then browse YouTube until about 6:15.

I head down to the common room and everyone is there, except for Bakugou, but I wasn't surprised. I helped get everything set up until Bakugou arrived, then we all sat in a circle and began to play truth or dare, just like Mina and I had planned. The game was going great and I even caught Baku laughing and smiling a few times, however Mina's turn came and my heart started racing.

"Kiri, truth or dare?" She said with a slight smirk. I knew what she was gonna say no matter what I chose, but I needed to make it seem like a surprise.

"Dare! Dares are manly!" I saw him roll his eyes at me but I saw a smile. Oh god I'm scared..

"I dare you, to confess to your crush!" Mina continues with her smirk with Bakugou joining her, Sero whistles, and Kaminari is just confused. I take a deep breath and turn towards Bkaugou, who's face immediately turns to confusion and slightly uncomfortable.

"Bakugou... I like you.. More than a friend... Would you be my-"

"Ew"

"E-ew?" I was shocked at his response.

"What makes you think I would like a fag like you? Being gary is wrong!" He stormed out of the room and I was left there, heartbroken. Not only did I get rejected by the person I fell so deeply in love with, but I might have lost my best friend because of it.

"Oh god Kiri.. are you okay?" Mina started rubbing my back and that's when I realized the warm, wet substance dripping down my cheeks. Was I crying? When did I start crying?

"Dude.. do you want some food? Cuddles? Whatever you need buddy.." Sero said as he walked into my field of vision. I couldn't speak, every time tried I just choked a sob instead. This really hurts.

"I'm gonna go into my dorm.. Thanks for the help guys.. I'm sorry if it didn't work.." I wiped the tears from my face and headed up to my room. Once I was inside I collapsed onto my bed and cried until I eventually fell asleep.
