It had been an extra hard day at Catco today and I was dying to go on my lunch break. I had been writing my article on the recent alien attacks all day and I felt incredibly drained. I was just finishing up the article when I saw my phone light up with a familiar name.
Lena: Hey Kara would you like to go to lunch today?
My face lit up with excitement. I was extremely tired, but it would all be worth it after I had lunch with my best friend. I missed Lena. Ever since the crisis, she's been pretty distant, so I was excited that she invited me to lunch.
Kara: Yeah sounds great. I have lunch at 2 see you there!
Lena: Great! I can't wait.

It was now 1:45 and I had just given my finished article to Snapper, so I started to make my way to our usual lunch place.
As I walked into the restaurant, I saw Lena sitting down and started heading in her direction. Once she saw me I saw her face light up with a smile as she made her way to give me a hug.
"Kara, hey" she said as she hugged me.
"Hey Lena how have you been? I missed you.", I said as we sat down in our seats.
"I've been good, just been stuck at L-Corp all day everyday", she replied.
"Lena, you work too hard maybe you should focus on yourself sometimes preferably before you overwork yourself to death", I joked.
We spent the rest of the lunch catching up and talking about work. She even tried to teach me about something called "quantum physics", didn't work out. Soon we were walking back to my desk where our lunch time would sadly end.

"Well it was nice seeing you Lena we should have lunch more often I really missed you", I said as I reached in to give her a goodbye hug. "I really
missed you too we should make plans soon" she replied. As we were hugging, Cat Grant sped by us and said, "well hello love birds". Lena and I turned around and gave Cat a confused look, but before we could say anything she was down the hall. We both faced each other and shrugged at the random comment, but decided to just blow it off. "Well then I should be getting back to L-Corp, it won't run itself". "Bye Lena see you soon". Just like that, Lena was gone and I was left alone again at my desk writing another article and thinking about what Cat had said.
