"Taro, stop pacing." the older spoke, watching his lover walk back and forth.

The Japanese sighed, turning to the older who gave him a slightly worried expression. Shotaro pouted, making his way towards the older and hugging him, Jeno wrapping his arms around the younger.

"My best friends are getting hate for loving each other, mostly by Mark's fans. And what is the media and company doing about it? Nothing!" he exclaimed. Jeno shrugged, placing his hand onto the back of the boy's head, pulling him in to connect their lips, quieting the boy.

"J-Jeno,"

"What do you want to do about it? You know the media, this scandal is gonna last a while until they find something new to talk about." The older said, pulling away from the smaller's lips.

"I don't even know why this is a problem now, the media was so chill after Mark announced his relationship with Yuta, a few months ago." Jeno spoke, fingers resting on the younger's hips.

Shotaro nodded, looking at the older.

"Can we expose our relationship to the media, then?" The latter's eyes widened, staring at the smaller.

"S-Shotaro, what?! You know you can't do that!"

The Japanese pouted.

"But what else can I do for him?! My best friend is getting mobbed, the media will stop if we-"

"Shotaro, I love you." Jeno spoke, causing the younger to stop talking and instead look up the older.

The idol smiled at the confession, holding the smaller's hands.

"I love you, but if we out our relationship, you will for sure be called out by the media for cheating on Na Jaemin, makeup artist / part time model and Huang Renjun, author and library owner."

"They're both well known successful people, and yes, they may not have a large fanbase as Mark does, but they will still get hurt. You will get hurt!"

Shotaro closed his mouth, looking down in tears.

"I love you, but you can't, Taro. I don't want to see you in pain again." Jeno spoke, pulling the younger closer to him.

"I care too much about you, as long as you're with me, I'm never letting the media get to you." he spoke, kissing the crown of Shotaro's head.

The Japanese hummed, burying his head into the older's neck.

"I love you too. I love you, Jeno."
