My phone alarm wakes me up early in the morning. I sigh, a new school year about to begin. I roll out of bed pushing my brunette hair out of my face. I head to the mirror and survey myself, taking in my blue-green orbs, pink, plump lips, and my flushed pale skin. I was starting my first day at a new school, so I needed to look my best. I slip on my light blue, skinny jeans and a grey hoodie. I put my hair into a messy bun and lace up my converses. I was ready. I didn't put on any makeup because unlike other girls, I don't wear makeup.
I head downstairs and see my whole family already awake and are waiting for me. Well everyone except my mum. My mum has been different ever since my dad died in a golfing accident a couple months ago. She's been drinking a lot more and hardly leaves her room, so I now have to take care of my younger siblings. None of my 8 older siblings do it so I have to, that's the joy of being the middle kid in my family. I make everyone's breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the span of 20 minutes and ask one of my older siblings to drive me to school. They of course say no, so I start to walk to school. I hate my life.
In typical fashion, it starts to rain as I walk to school. I get to school and I ask a kid walking past if they know the way to the front lobby, they tell me to fuck off. When I finally get to the front lobby there's an old lady with a grim smile at the front desk. "What do you want," she crows, not glancing up from her computer screen. "I'm new here and I need to get my schedule."
"Name," she barks at me. "Y/n," I reply.
"Here." She tosses a piece of paper with my school schedule and locker number and combination. "Anything else you need?" She demands, her eyes cold. "No...no..." I stammer nervously. Some welcome.I walk through the packed hallways, people bumping and jostling me around. I ask many people for direction but people either ignore me or spit on me like I'm an animal. I mean it's high school so I didn't expect people to be nice but shouldn't they at least acknowledge or notice me, it's not like I'm every other girl here, I'm new. I feel as if I'm lost in a sea of facelessness. Just another nobody roaming the halls. I manage to find my locker and open it to find some old papers inside. They couldn't even be bothered to empty it out properly?!
"Excuse me!?" a really pretty girl with bangs and olive skin screams, marching up to me. I smile, someone has noticed me! Maybe I can make friends. I've always had trouble making friends with girls just because they are so filled with drama, that's why I mainly hang out with guys but maybe I can finally have a girl friend. "Hi," I say brightly. "What do you think you're doing?" she demands, her face in a scowl. "I'm y/n and I'm new to the school so I'm putting stuff in my locker."
"You mean my locker." Confused, I pulled out the paper the lady at the front desk gave me to see my locker number, maybe I just read it incorrectly. Nope, it's my locker. "But the lady said this was my locker-"
"-Are you slow or something? This is my locker and It's been my locker for years!! It even has my name on it." The girl points to a name in the locker and I read out the faded name.
"Clarence?" I ask. "It's Clarisse you fugly bitch! God, is there even a brain in there? Pack your shit out of my locker," she says, dumping my books in my arms, "And get out of my way."
"But... but..."
"Get out the way you dumb whore!" the girl, Clarisse, says, pushing me out of her way. I fall and trip falling into the arms of a mysterious stranger. I drag my eyes up their solid chest into their deep, ocean blue orbs, suddenly becoming speechless. He was a hot, sexy beast, with jet black wavy hair and stubble on his cheek, wearing a black leather jacket even though it was 40 degrees outside. "Watch where you're going you fat, dumb, ugly, slut!!!" Wow, he had such a way with words! "I'm..m..m...m so..r..r..y...y," I stutter shamelessly, bending down to pick up my book. He kicks them away out of my reach with his black biker boots. I look up shyly, drinking in his appeal. "Go kill yourself!!" he exclaimed, stepping around me, trampling my books. God, who was this hot stranger?!
