The curse that the Evil Queen has affected everyone in the Enchanted forest by transporting everyone to a land without magic stopping time forever without anyone remembering their real-life fairytales, Everyone different from where they are from, well not everyone.
Shrek - yes that Shrek, the ogre has been transported to Storybrook, just like the rest of the town, his appearance changed just like the dark one, but he still REMEMBERS. Guess the curse doesn't work on magic resistance ogre brains huh? But that means nothing if when you try to tell everyone, the only other person to believes you are a 10-year-old. He still has his magic resistance from after the deal he made with Rumplestiltskin. The Irony is how the guy who almost destroyed his life is his father - who in his own way loves him. Shrek, now called Mieczyslaw Stiles Gold is used to being alone in the Enchanted forest, and he is used to people avoiding him but that was before his wife Fiona and now not only does the beautiful redhead not remember him, she thinks he is crazy. He is at least rich and 17 again.
Fiona - now Lydia Mills, wants to escape her constant prison that is called life in Storybrooke and the general public eye. She is the mayor's daughter and she needs to be a good representative of her family and popular for her mother who is not at this time. She wants to escape this town that is like an abandoned tower that no one stays to looks at. Though the only time she feels that she is free is with the town crazy kid that everyone knows as Stiles. She first thought that he was a stalker because of how he knew everything about he to the point that he knows which steps she does before she sleeps, and as well crazy for making her little brother believe that fairytales are true, but now, she still thinks he is a stalker and very much still crazy person but a fun one and her only escape.
She needs to get rid of his rat eating habit though. no matter how delicious the stew is.
