„Congratulations on your book series 'Atlantean Tale'!" Ellen smiled at you as the audience went wild. You grinned and laid a hand to your heart to show your gratitude. As soon as the applaud ebbed, you said: "Thank you, thank you!".
"So how is it to be such a huge success?", Ellen asked you.
"Ahm, it's definitely weird, because I'm still not used to all the interviews and attention – not that I'm complaining though-". The audience laughed.
"But I do feel way more pressure when thinking about future writing projects or sequels", you finish. You hoped that you seemed calm and confident on the outside because inside you were a nervous wreck. The lights almost blinded you, your hands were shaking and cold and sweat was running down your armpit. You were super nervous about the questions. "And when did you start writing?" Ah, finally something you could answer well.
"Oh, probably in my teens. I started with smaller stories, especially fanfics. I wrote a lot of those. But throughout the years I just got all these other, bigger ideas and at some point, I just started writing down those. And here I am!"
"Fanfics? Wh- What's that?", asked Ellen. You chuckled lightly and looked directly into the camera.
"The good ones know". You winked. "No, ahm, fanfiction is just something we fans are really into. We basically just write fictional stories about our idols, usually love stories", you explain Ellen.
"And who did you write fanfictions about?", she asked you. That sent you laughing and made you blush.
"You're really out to embarrass me, aren't you, Ellen?". Everyone laughed. You fidgeted. "Well...you know...about celebrities", you tried to evade the question.
"Like who?". You sighed. Ellen wouldn't give up apparently.
"Like Tom Hiddleston".
"Hiddleston?". You nodded. Someone let out a supporting howl. You smirked slightly.
"They get it. Yeah, so I'm a real Hiddlestoner."
"Hiddlestoner?"
"That's what his fans call themselves."
"Ah, okay. So do you still have a crush on him?".
"I'd have to say that a lady never tells", you smartly state, lift your leg over the other and take a sip of your water, trying to look ladylike. It got you some laughs.
"So what would you do if you met him?"
"Like right now?", you turned to the entrance of the stage jokingly.
"Yeah, like right now." No, he couldn't be here. Could he? You loosened a shaky breath and lifted your trembling hand.
"See that? I'd probably piss, then embarrass myself, run away, and never leave my house again. Soo, I probably should never meet him". Ellen chuckled.
"No, come on! I'd love to see that. Tom, would you come out?" The crowd went wild, really wild and their attention was fixed on something behind you. Or someone. Shit. You slowly turn. Shit, shit, shit. Walking towards you was really Tom Hiddleston. Shit.

He waved to the audience and blew kisses. Oh god. Time seemed to still as you took everything in. His tall, lean figure clad in an elegant suit. His beautiful grin, showing his perfect white teeth. His appearance caught your breath and made your heart beat so, so fast. Damn, your nervousness has reached new heights. The audience still didn't calm down, but Tom Hiddleston neared you and Ellen. He sat down on the other end of the sofa. TOM FUCKING HIDDLESTON WAS SITTING NEXT TO YOU!!!!!!! You willed your inner self to calm the fuck down, but that seemed almost impossible. No, you wouldn't mess this up. So you beamed at Tom Hiddleston (you should probably just refer to him as Tom), to which he answered with his own smile.
"Hi", he introduced himself to you, "Tom". You nodded.
"Yeah, I know". Your voice sounded a bit hitched. His smile deepened. Oh shit, he's going to think you were some kind of stalker. Tone it down, Y/N!
You rushed to say: "Y/N".
"Beautiful name". You felt your face flush.
"Ever the gentleman, right?", you joked and winked at him. He let out his famous "Ehehe" laugh, that made your gut turn.

Ellen looked at both of you amused. "Have you ever met before?" You nod a bit shyly.
"I've been to a few meet and greets, but I don't expect you to remember", you admit to him. He angled his head ever so slightly and his gaze swept over your face, almost analyzing you.
"You don't look too unfamiliar. I think I can recall meeting you a few times", he finally says. The audience "aw" -ed, but you chuckle.
"Oh, no you don't!"
"No, really I do! How could I've not noticed such a beautiful woman?". Your blush intensified; you could feel your face heat even more. Wow, how awkward. But you were sure he didn't actually remember you. Of course, he had to save face and look the gentleman.
"You'll have more time to get to know each other backstage, but I do have some final questions". You focused on her again, sitting across from you and Tom (!), and prepared yourself mentally to speak in full sentences. Something your brain and tongue by some means have forgotten how to achieve.
"Who's your role model?", she asked more serious now, and leaned back.
"Puh...I'd have to go with the two German authors Goethe and Schiller."
"Why's that?", inquired Ellen.
"We learned about them in school, and they were very versatile and influenced at least two literary epochs in Germany. I think that that's pretty great. I'd love to try out as many different writing styles as possible and of course, I'd be great to shape so many minds!".
"No J.K. Rowling?"
"Ugh, I was such a huge Harry Potter fan, so yeah – I really look up to her work, but not to her as a person. The whole LTBTQ-thing really ruined it for me." Ellen nodded. You turned to Tom and confidently (at least you hoped) asked him: "What about you? Who's your role model?"
"Gosh, am-hm. I guess I look up to my friend and colleague Benedict Cumberbatch, but really every person in acting, and the arts actually, have my deep respect." His blue eyes swept over you, then to Ellen and the audience. You both looked to Ellen again as she spoke.
"Now my last question: What advice would you give young, aspiring authors?". Ah, you'd expected that one. You've thought about your answer forever beforehand, so it only took you some moments to collect your thoughts.
"Start. Starting to write is the hardest because you know it will almost certainly suck. But you can edit that, you can't, however, edit a blank page. Other than that: Dream big and keep writing. Oh and never tell Ellen your celebrity crush". Everyone laughed.

"Y/N and her new book series 'Atlantean Tale' – now available at every bookstore!", shouted Ellen and you knew that now there would be a commercial pause and this would be the end of your interview. The crowd applauded and the cameras whirled. Out of the corner of your eye, you could feel Tom's gaze. You swallowed. Everything seemed dreamlike now.
