Waves crash onto the side of the large barrel, resulting in the barrel I'm in to almost dump me under the roaring waves. Icy rain and wind stings wherever it lands my skin, but I'm not worry about that. A clash of thunder and lightening illuminating the almost complete darkness. What I see, sends chills down my spine and into my very soul.
Enormous black ocean waves over 15 stories tall towers over me threatening to swallow me whole to be lost forever.
Literally swallow me whole! I'm stuck in a fucking whirlpool! A fucking gigantic whirlpool!
It's time to panic! And like in every panic state, screaming is the only logical thing to do.
So I fucking scream my lungs out!
Using magic is far from my mind. It's funny how situations where it's needed, you don't think about it until afterwards.
My body begins to slip from the barrel, sliding out, I free fall, then dive bomb into the Stygian below.
Seawater engulfs my lungs amplifying them beyond their capacity. Unexpectedly, my shoulders jerks, yanking me from the experience.
My eyes snap open, and for a moment, my body still feels the sensations from my dream.
But in my cloudy state of mind, my eyes, but not my brain registers my mother's petrified eyes.
"You have to run and get help!" With those words, the fog in my brain clears instantly.
Rarely does my mother ever feel fear. So I don't ask questions, already knowing whose here.
She thrust a piece of paper in my hand. "You have to dematerialize out of the walls, and run east to the werewolf king's territory. They are the closest to us!"
The faster I do this, the quicker I'll be back, so I comply with her orders.
With an I love you, I let the heat consume my body, then with pop the heat is gone in less than a millisecond.
Wind softly blows through the trees and rustles leaves, but I can not enjoy the breeze or the life of the forest. Pushing everything away, I focus on the task at hand.
With the letter gripped tightly in my hand, I wave through the trees using my vampire speed. I would dematerialize, but I've never been to the werewolf kingdom. It only works with places you already been, but that only applies to young vamps like me. After about 100 years, I'll be able too. I can do it now, but I can end up anywhere, I can't take that change right now.
Breathing in my nose and out my mouth, I ready to jump over a gorge. Picking up more speed, I push off my right heel and slice through the air.
Clearing the gorge by a few feet, I land gracefully in a superhero landing. Can't have a superhero pose without the debris flying everywhere.
I've always wanted to do that.
Off again, I finally pass the border of the territory. It's like running through a waterfall, but without the wet part.
I know I'm fucked when I sense a shit ton of wolves. Fuck! How could I forget Dad telling me the Werewolf King's having a ball for the alphas!
Maybe I can make it through until I reach the castle. Damn! Spoke to use. A hoard of wolves burst through the trees.
To keep them from nipping at my heels, I quicken my legs. Sensing a wolf to my right, at the perfect moment, I twist my body and skim into a baseball slide.
I see the wolf fly from where my head was just moments ago. My body is still sliding. Pushing my right hand into the ground, I push myself on to my feet again.
