The Dog's Unknown Mission

("The Dog's Unknown Mission" is a short story for pet lovers and also for those who underestimate animals and call themselves anthropocentric (humans as the most important elements on this earth.)'The dog is the most loyal servant and friend of human beings'- This is often told during our school times. Is that we forget the life values or we close our eyes when it comes to standing up? Try to find why Benzy is going to be assaulted? Is it Benzy's mistake to be trapped inside this materialistic world?)

The Story begins.....

Benzy was a brown fluffy street dog who often helped people and animals. He would even join his hands with the police to catch the thief and had trained himself as a perfect guardian of his locality. Benzy was loved by the residents especially the police and kids. The kids were fond of him because he used to play and proved to be a harmless creature. Although he used to wander around he wasn't a pet of anyone, he was loved but not accepted by anyone, he was fed the extra ones and not of anything which was separately made for him. However, Benzy's love or his loyalty never strikes down. 

Benzy lived in the MB apartment, Sompur. Early in the morning, he used to wake up and jog with a group of policemen for an hour. Then, he used to get fed by the locals. He had a good taste of almost every dish in the MB apartment. After his breakfast of different tastes, he would spend some time with other dogs or scare the pet animals and end up getting scolded by their owners with some swear words which he understood as an inspirational speech. Again, he used to get fed by the watchmen or the residents in the afternoon. While in the evening, he used to enjoy playing with the kids although a few of them were naughty and pulled his waggy ear. However, Benzy would never feel exasperated. At the end of the day, Benzy would have a light dinner, guard the large apartment, and tuck himself under the stairs of the basement. Although Benzy was a street dog, he maintained discipline and never misbehaved in society. He made sure, to never miss barking at a stranger. This was Benzy's life routine which he would follow strictly as though he had taken a pledge for his whole life.

Benzy was missing and only a few of them had noticed it. Many of them mentioned that Benzy was missing for the past few days but nobody wanted to find him. In the midst of this materialistic busy world, an innocent animal was struggling.

One bright Sunday morning, Benzy popped from nowhere inside the MB society and was badly wounded. A policeman recognized Benzy and gave him first aid. Also, the person offered his favorite sausage which Benzy took it up and ran out of the society. Again, Benzy arrived and started to steal all the things which appeared to be attractive one by one such as a diamond ring, balloon, money, pastry, ball, umbrella, and many more. Watching this behavior at the beginning residents didn't react but as the robbery increased they started hitting the dog and would throw things at him if he would enter the residency. However, when Benzy stole the cricket ball of a policeman, the policeman was eager to know what the dog would do with the stolen things. So, the policeman quietly followed Benzy in order to know the truth.

Benzy used to keep the stolen things on a hamper that was behind the bushes. In the absence of Benzy, the policeman opened the hamper and found a crying infant covered with a red rag. The policeman understood the reason behind the dog's robbery. 

Later, the stolen things were distributed in society. Also, shared the story of Benzy's unknown mission. Whereas, the baby was adopted by a couple from society. Also, society rewarded Benzy a buckle collar with a golden locket and was adopted as a pet by the policeman.
