i can't believe niall and i almost kissed last night. what if our friendship gets ruined like what happened to maya and liam?!?

*enters school*

maya: y/n? what are you doing?
y/n: i'm hiding from niall.
maya: is this one of those games you two still play from when you were little.
y/n: no! i need to tell you something...
maya: this doesn't sound good.
y/n: me and niall almost kissed last night.
maya: WHAT??

*olivia and her friend over hear the conversation*

violet: woah! you like niall, right? so that's bad, right?
olivia: shut up, violet.

maya: what are you feeling about it??
y/n: i literally don't know!! this is UNEXPLORED TERRITORY!
maya: okay, calm down. just tell me what happened.
y/n: we were standing in his driveway after he dropped me  off and he just leaned in to kiss me. we would've done it if his dad hadn't flung open the front door.

olivia: it's time to turn niall again y/n. violet it's time to start a rumour.

*group of people in the hallway waiting for you*

olivia: well, well, well look who made it to school after her loooong night with zayn.
y/n: huh?
violet: i heard that y/n made out with zayn at his party.
olivia: i heard that she slept with him.
y/n: we didn't even kiss. zayn came onto me but i told him i wasn't interested.
random boy: zayn said y/n was good in bed.
random boy 2: i bet she is.

*where the hell is zayn?!?*

zayn's friend: are the rumours true? did you really hook up with y/n?
zayn: well, i wasn't going to turn her down, if that's what you're asking.

y/n: what a child too bad for him i'm unfazed.
maya: totally. he's just looking for attention. sorry for him, but he's not gonna get it. come on let's head to class.

*you both walk to class*

niall: what's going on?
olivia: it's going around that y/n hooked up with zayn at his party i guess she'll kiss ANYBODY.
niall: what?? i hate this school and it's stupid rumours.
olivia: what makes you so sure it's just a rumour?
niall: because i was there last night when she turned him down. i need to find y/n.

*niall runs away to find you*

olivia: crap. my plan didn't work at all. y/n is going to pay for this.

*school has been a disaster this morning*

*niall runs over to you*

niall: y/n, are u okay???
y/n: niall!
niall: what?

*UMM, THE ALMOST KISS??*

niall: i just wanted to make sure you're alright.
y/n: i'm resilient. i'll get past being the rumour of the week.
niall: they just love gossip. you didn't do anything wrong.
y/n: i know, i just don't want to have to face everyone's judgement for something i didn't even do. something i would NEVER do. a kiss MEANS something to me. i wouldn't just kiss anyone. i just wish i didn't have to be here rn.
niall: so let's get out of here then.
y/n: what?
niall: all thats left of today is lunch and free period. we don't have to be here, and you don't deserve these rumours. let's go somewhere.
y/n: where could we go?
niall: well... i do actually have a place in mind that i've been wanting to take you to it's kind of a secret spot will you come with me?
y/n: ugh i would love to but i don't wanna get caught i'm strong i can finish the day we can go another time.
niall: of course you can. you're the strongest person i know.
y/n: i'm gonna go do some work see you later.

*he waves you bye and you go do some work*

*at the library*

niall: did you get all your work done?
y/n: it took all day but i finished that essay for english.
niall: nice. well hopefully we can go to my secret spot another time see you tomr at school :)

*the next day at school..*

olivia: i still can't believe niall went to go comfort y/n yesterday.
violet: yeah, that rumour really didn't work, huh? wait this isn't our locker.
olivia: i know, violet.
violet: is this y/n's locker?
olivia: just hand me the tape.
violet: what are you planning on doing?
olivia: you'll see.. and so will y/n. now if you'll excuse me, there's someone i need to talk to.

*olivia walks over to niall*

olivia: hey niall!
niall: hey olivia!
olivia: want to get a coffee with me from the cafeteria?
niall: trying to relive last summer?
olivia: exactly. hard to say which puts you to sleep more, history or drivers ed.

*niall laughs*

*at the cafeteria*

olivia: is y/n doing better today after that awful rumour yesterday?
niall: i think so, but it really hurt her feelings.
olivia: gosh, i can only imagine. niall, why do you think she hates me so much?
niall: i don't know. she just doesn't know you've changed. if you give her time, i'm sure she'll see you like i see you.
olivia: oh yeah? and do you like what you're seeing?

*back at the lockers*

maya: it's a new day! the birds are shining, the sun's chirping.

*you laugh and open ur locker*

y/n: what the..
maya: who the hell put an x over your face?! is it a warning? like "i'm going to take you out"
y/n: it'd better not be. who would do something like this?

*liam walks in*

liam: who do you think?
maya: if you know, you better tell us.
liam: olivia. i saw her do it. she drew an x over your face in red marker. then she started flirting with niall and took him to the cafeteria.
y/n: WHAT? that's it. we're going to the cafeteria.

*you all arrive at the cafeteria*

maya: where is she?! let me at her!
y/n: over there! she is SO two faced.. he literally has no idea what she did to his best friend.
maya: someone's gotta put this girl in her place. it's one thing to spread a vicious rumour. it's ANOTHER to use it to manipulate niall into liking her!
liam: agreed. we need to get niall away from her. i don't want that girl tainting our friend circle. he's like three inches from dating this hyena.
maya: we'll back you up, y/n, but you have to say something. what she did to your locker was not cool.
y/n: you know what? i don't want to give her the time of day. she's not worth it. let's go to class.
maya: you're right. but i'm still furious at her!

*you arrive*

maya: what did you order?
y/n: hot chocolate.

maya: i'm so happy to be getting liam off my mind the more i think about him, the more i feel sad over it.
y/n: i know the feeling. i'm gonna find us a table.

*you walk to find a table and gasp running to hide*

ivory: i want to be your girlfriend.
liam: i'm down. let's be official.
