"this is going to be so manly of you."

the blonde could only scoff and shake his head in disbelief. "it's honestly nothing. nothing manly at all here."

the blonde's best friend laughed, "nothing manly at all you say? i beg to differ."

bakugou and his best friend (of course he wouldn't admit that) kirishima were out shopping. bakugou had mentioned getting some gifts for his lover since they always worked so hard. and it didn't help when the said person was in a dance group. they would always come home utterly exhausted. katsuki had caught onto this many times, and so, he decided that he was going to treat his partner. yes, it does seem a little out of character for him, so that's why the ash blonde decided to seek advice from a certain spiky red head.

"what treats do they like?" kirishima then asked as he surveyed the many shelves that surrounded the two.

"uh..." bakugou trailed off, humming in thought. then his eyes suddenly lit up. "(your favourite treats)."

"great." the red head grinned as he practically scooped the treats up in his arms. katsuki could only stare at him in astonishment. "ready to pay?"

"yeah," bakugou grumbled, "wait i'm paying?"

"of course you are. did you really think i was gonna pay for you? nice try, man."

"shut the fuck up."

kirishima just laughed. then, the two friends wandered off to pay for the treats.

with a yawn, you pushed open the door that lead to your dorm. your muscles ached and you found it an effort to just push the door open.

"i hate this so much..." you said to yourself, slipping inside before shutting the door behind you. almost immediately, you threw your bag down, kicked your shoes off, ruffled your hair up then switched on the lights.

however, you most definitely were not expecting to see a familiar ash blonde spread out across your bed and bags filled with treats surrounding him.

"um...?" you were at loss for words. you didn't know whether to be surprised or used to this.

"hello." was all your boyfriend said to you. he scrambled to sit up right. with a short hum, you walked over to him.

"how did you- how did you get in?" you stuttered out. bakugou just grabbed your wrist in response, pulling you down onto the bed with him. this elicited a quiet yelp from you.

falling on top of him, you felt his arms wrap around you. deciding you didn't want to get up at all, you nestled your head onto his chest as he held you close - your hearts beating together in unison.

"why are you doing all of this...?" it was your little voice that caused katsuki to snap out of his thoughts. his hands tangled themselves in your hair.

"tch, am i not allowed to do anything nice for you, dumbass?"

you chuckled. "no... that's not it. it just came as a surprise, that's all."

the male huffed. then he whispered, "well... it seems like you always treat me and do nice things for me. so... i guess i wanted to repay the favour. also, you need a break i suppose: you work your ass off with dancing. so just... have a break once in a while, will you?"

his heartfelt words caused a huge grin to spread across your face. happiness surged within you and you found yourself snuggling closer to your boyfriend.

"what is it?" he grunted, arms tightening around you in the process.

"thank you. thank you, katsuki. i mean it: i appreciate all of this."

"... yeah yeah, whatever. you better."

the two of you ended up falling asleep in each other's arms, later devouring the treats bakugou brought for you.
