Loud knocks on my door echoed through the house. I touched up the makeup around my eye with a little more foundation. My face was completely caked in cosmetics. I walked to the door, ignoring how loud my stomping was. My mother wasn't home anyways.
"Hey love," Harry kissed my cheek. I stood stunned as the once drunken, inappropriate boy, left such a gentle touch on my skin. My body tingled, enjoying the sensation.
"Erm. You lost there?" Louis giggled, interrupting my thoughts. I quickly shook my head, covering my face with my dark hair. I headed out the door, walking to the expensive Audi in my parkway. It seemed very out of place near my shack of a house. I shrugged off the sorry thoughts and opened the car door. Aubrey was there, lightly snoring with a small smirk on her face. I didn't even want to know what thoughts invaded her dreams.
"Aubs," I shook her soft shoulder.
"Aubrey, wake up. It's Molly." I grinned as her eyelids fluttered open. She yawned and then her eyes quickly widened. She started stroking my cheek. Her fingers caused my swollen face pain.
"Molly. What happened? W-Was it Dylan?" She stuttered. My face tensed as she brought her fingers down, revealing my wound. I looked down at the ground before I answered. Suddenly my red DM's became very interesting.
"Molly Kate.. Answer me. Now."
"Ummm.. Actually no." I lied, not making eye contact.
"I don't believe you." She said, her voice sharpened.
"I'll tell you the story," I muttered.
"I was walking into my house after leaving Harry and Louis, and I ran into the coffee table taking off my shoes." I said much too quickly. Aubrey sighed, knowing I wasn't going to tell the truth. She touched my bruised cheek once more, before stepping out of the car. She grabbed me into a tight hug, and walked down the concrete leading to my porch. I stood by the car for a few minutes, registering how she must feel. Her best friend lying to her, and about such a serious subject. I gained composure and jogged into the house. The scene I walked on surprised me. I shielded my mouth as I gasped.
