"Do you wish to be saved?"

You keep your head down.

"I do wish to be safe. Why? Do you have any ideas?"

"I can save you, I can keep you safe. I can take the pain from your hurtful fantasy, and fix it."

"You can fix it for me?" You ask, unsure of what to do or think.

"I need your consent to do so. What do you say? Would you like to be saved?" Your figure in the mirror gives you a stare, questioningly, as they wait for a response.

You sniffle, and wipe your eyes. You start to remember the drawing that had encouraged you.

"You don't need anyone that isn't there for you. If they don't like you, you're not alone. You were alone when you were with them. You should try to fix what needs to be fixed instead of leaving it be."

You are hesitant before responding. Maybe it's time for you to do something.

You have made your final decision.

"I must apologize, but I cannot accept your offer. I need to fix what is needed to be fixed by myself rather than have someone else do it for me."

"...

You are me. You are not someone else."

"I may be you, but you are not me. It's time for me to do something."

"But you can't do it by yourself!"

"Well, I guess I can try. If not, I'll just have to call reinforcements."

"You won't be able to fix yourself. You'll stay shattered forever without real help."

"I'll have real help!" You say.

"Without another entity, it wouldn't work."

"Aha! So you admit you're a different entity!"

"No! Well, maybe! We are connected. You'll see me every time you sleep! Your suffrage will get worse and worse!"

"Didn't you say you would help me? I see now you can't be trusted."

The figure's appearance begins to transform into yours. No, it's gone now. You're okay. You'll be fine.

"You should wake up." A voice says. It's oddly familiar.

You turn around, but your vision already darkens and your eyes close.

:)

"Sometimes, it's better to take what's given to you than to throw it away."
