U.A High School

'Cherry Blossoms: New beggings'

Clutching tightly onto my middle school blazer, I turn back to see my parents waving goodbye as I walk into the school grounds with my anxiety getting the best of me.

'What are you scared of Y/n?'

I mentally ask myself before taking a deep breath and walking into the assigned hall to write the written paper.

'I didn't study anything... I'm goanna fail... No, I'll pass... Think positively Y/n'.

-...-

"That was easy! What was I so scared of", I smack my head as I walked into the grand hall where the Hero course's Exam Orientation would commence, we were asked to go after the written exam.

Sitting next to a pink-haired girl who was basically jumping in her seat for some reason.

'Is she okay?'

Just as I was about to ask her what's wrong, she smacked her face, and I decided not to talk to her.

Just then Voice Hero: Present Mic, comes out of the Downstage, saying "For all you examinee listeners turning in, Welcome to my show today! Everybody say 'HEY!' "

...no one responds to the energetic hero.

"What a refined response", he shudders.

"Then I'll quickly present to you the rundown on the practical exam! Are you ready? YEAH!!"

I feel bad.

I heard mumblings from above which were stopped with a 'shut up' and Present mic speaking again.

"As it says in the application requirements, you listeners will be conducting ten-minute mock urban battles after this!"

The projected screen switches to a digitalized map behind him as he continues, "You can bring whatever you want with you. After the presentation, you'll head to the specific battle center, okay?"

...

"Okay?!"

I look at my Examination Ticket. It showed the 'Examinee number:1776', my name along with my information and the 'Test Location: Battle Center D'.

I look up at the screen behind Present Mic which now showed digital gaming patterns.

"Three different types of faux villains are stationed in each battle center. You earn points for each of them based on their level of difficulty. Your goal, dear listeners, is to use your quirks to earn points by immobilizing the faux villains. Of course, attacking other examinees and any other unheroic actions are prohibited!"

Suddenly a blue haired dude with glasses and light-browned blazer stood up asking for a question, "On the printout, there are four types of villains. If that is a misprint, then U.A., the most prominent school in Japan, should be ashamed of that foolish mistake. We examinees are here in this place because we wish to be molded into exemplary heroes."

I look at him with a questionable face as I turned the instructions printouts to the that point where there were indeed 4 villain prints.

"Bruh- when did he read all of that?", the pink girl next to me asked in a startled voice to no one in particular.

"I have no idea!", I still answered back.

Then suddenly whipping back, he pointed his finger at someone saying, "In addition, you over there with the curly hair- you've been muttering this whole time. It's distracting! If you're here on a pleasure trip, then you should leave immediately!"
