"Sakura..."
"Thank you."
Her eyes grew wide as her breath stuck in her throat. His voice is soft, almost full with emotion. It's a goodbye. She thought, as more tears makes it way down her face. She knows Sasuke, she knows what he's about to do.
Move quickly, she turns around and caught Sasuke's arm who's reaching her in mid air, she hold it hard as she gazes at him.
Sasuke narrows his eyes. He should never underestimate his opponent, let alone Sakura. But Sakura isn't an opponent. She's just the annoying girl trying to stop him from leaving the village. He was about to make another hit when his eyes caught the red tearful eyes of hers, begging at him–of what he isn't so sure.
He sighs, and pull his arm away from Sakura's loosening grasp. "I can't bring you with me, Sakura."
"Why not?" her voice shook, "Because I'm weak? Right?"
"Tch." She heard Sasuke clucked his tongue in annoyance, another angry tears cascade down her cheek when she can almost hear the annoying word ringing in Sasuke's simple outburst. Always the nuisance. She thought. Never worth anything, the liability instead of an asset. She thinks so lowly of herself that the next action from Sasuke caught her in her thoughts.
Sasuke's arm circle around her neck and pull her to him making her forehead fall onto his chest. "Stop crying if you want me to take you with me."
Sakura blinks her tears, appears confused by Sasuke sudden action to comfort her. Beside his warmth body, all she think about was he's letting me follow?
She hickups as she tries to stop herself from crying more, and when she did able to stop her tears, she embrace Sasuke, putting her arms around his waist and pull him close to her. She wait for Sasuke to push her off, but it never happen. Being close with Sasuke like this, make the blush crept up her cheeks. They stay like that for a few moment before she let go at the same time Sasuke pulls his arm off her neck.
"I'll just get some of my stuff back home. Don't go, wait me here. I promise. 15 minutes top."
"Make it 10." Sasuke said, his eyes not meeting hers as he shoved his hands in his pockets, hiding his most certainly red face from sight. She was saying something but he couldn't hear it as she jump off, using the roof for faster route.
Sasuke let out a defeat sigh, thinking how bringing Sakura will affecting everything. If she will be able to endure the harsh life of a missing nin. Sakura is just too innocent and soft for her own good. While waiting, there was a few time he's about to just walk off and leave Sakura behind but he just couldn't. At last, he settled himself to lean agains the bench there.
A little after 10 minutes, Sakura arrived panting heavily. The look she has suggest that she didn't expect to see him still waiting for her at all.
"Sasuke-kun." She breath out, holding the strap of her backpack and jog to him.
"Ahh, let's go." With that, the two genins left the village.
Sasuke leads the way while Sakura walks beside him, looking up the sky. "The moon is so big and bright tonight right, Sasuke kun? It's called full moon, right?" That's the last thing Sakura said before they both walk in silence, lost in their own thoughts.

"This is your last chance, Sakura." Sasuke said as they run at high speed side by side, he looks over at Sakura's figure.
"I'm not going back if that's what you're implying, Sasuke-kun."
"We're defecting the village, Sakura. It's something I bound to do. Not you. Never you." He reasoned. "Think this through. Your family, your friends, Naruto, Kakashi."
