chapter 7.

****Time skip****

May 10th

A black car pulls up in front of my family's mansion while I quickly grab the last things I need to take with me.

Before heading out of the door my father approaches me "Good luck, sweetheart," he says kissing my forehead "take care of yourself."

I smile to him and run towards the car waiting for me, and as soon as I reach it, Geto comes out of the car to greet me.

I wasn't expecting him here, "What a surprise!" I smile to him, "I didn't know you were going to join us." I add still smiling to him.

"Okkotsu Yuuta was supposed to be your driver but he had an accident and couldn't come." he says while taking my luggage and putting it in the trunk "so here I am!"

He opens the door of the car for me and invites me to take a seat.

As soon as I put my seatbelt he starts the engine.

"Now we are going to pick Fushiguro-san and then we'll head to Tokushima." he says quickly turning to me before getting his eyes back on the road.

I simply nod to him without saying anything.

"Sooo... Are you excited Kami-san?" Geto breaks the silence in the car.

"There's no need to be this formal, Geto" I say resting my chin on the back of his seat, "just call me Kami."

He smiles and I see him trough the rear view mirror "Alright, call me Suguru then." he raises his glare to meet my eyes through the mirror.

"By the way I'm really excited, I haven't worked in a while" I finally reply to his question.

"You'll do a great job, Kami."

After a short ride we arrive in front of a beautiful house, with a huge garden full of colourful flowers.

'Is this Toji's house?' I start wondering watching the well kept garden.

Soon after Toji opens the door of the house and starts walking towards us.

This time Geto doesn't get out of the car to help him with his luggage though, so Toji does it by him self before opening the car door and sitting next to me.

"Good morning, Fushiguro-san" Geto politely greets him.

"Yeah." he replies, with his usual rude tone.

"Greet Geto like a polite person, Toji." I scold him for his manners.

"Shut up, brat."

"Fuck you." I growl at him.

"When and where?" he mocks me with a smirk.

I roll my eyes and turn my head to the window.

As soon as Geto starts driving I stick out my body between the two front seats to reach the radio.

"Let's try to make this ride less boring" I say while turning on the radio and connecting it to my phone.

"It won't be boring if you stay in this position." Toji laughs, I can feel his eyes staring at my ass.

Successfully connecting my phone, I go back to my seat. "You're an old perv." I angrily look at him.

"And you're a cocky brat."

I hit his arm with my fist but doesn't even flinch at it.

In the meanwhile Geto laughs at us from the front seat.

"Look at my ass again and I'll stab you." I say crossing my arms to my chest.

"Mmh, so feral... I like it."

I don't reply and just look at him confused about his behaviour, so different than usual.

I ignore it and start looking for some songs to play on my phone.

"Suguru, what's your favourite song?"

"Mmmh" he thinks about it "I like Frank Ocean a lot, so pretty much any of his songs."

"Really?! I love him too!" I excitedly yell slightly jumping on my seat.

I go on my playlist and play 'Close to You' starting to give to it.

Suguru starts lowly singing along while I smile to him.

"Turn it off it's bothering me" Toji says, rude as always.

"Could say the same about your voice." I talk back to him as rudely "don't ruin our vibes, you old man."

Geto loudly laughs at my come back while Toji gets back to staring the window next to him.

"Aren't you going to talk back?" I ask him, as Toji not responding to my provocations was so weird. But he doesn't say anything.

"Did I hurt you, big boy?" I keep mocking him since he is not giving me any satisfaction.

"Shut the fuck up, you damn kid."

"That's what I wanted, daddy."

****Time skip****

After four hours of drive we finally arrive to Tokushima, Geto parks the car in front of a building.

"That's where we will stay while we're working here." Geto says while turning off the engine.

We get out the car and Geto immediately takes my luggage from the trunk. Once again, he doesn't take Toji's.

We enter the building and find three keys in the hall, each one opened the door to our personal apartment.

I quickly take one and run to see what the place where I would stay looked like.

The apartment was rather simple, not very decorated. It had a small living room, a kitchen, a small bathroom and a bedroom. Pretty basic.

Geto followed me with my luggage.

"Here you are, Kami. After you freshen up we can go get some lunch, it will be my treat." he say with his usual smile.

"Thank you, Suguru. I will be in the hall in a hour." I dismiss him so that I can get ready.

I close the door behind his back but soon after I hear someone knocking on the door.

I thought it was Suguru again, but when I open I see Toji's chest right in front of my face.

"Can I help you?" I ask him.

"Wanna go get lunch in after you get ready?" he asks looking down on me.

"Sorry Toji, Geto just invited me to eat with him"

"Mmh, as I thought." he says lightly laughing.

"What?"

"That kid likes you."

"What?"

"You heard what I said." back to his rude manners.

"Why would you say that?" I confusingly ask him, tilting my head to the side.

"He stared at you during the whole journey, he took your luggage and he also invited you out for lunch." he explains.

"He's just polite."

"Yeah, whatever." he laughs at me again "You brat really don't know how to read a man, didn't you tell me you have a boyfriend?"

"I do, but what does it have to do with Suguru?"

"You call him by his first name too?" he seems pretty annoyed by that.

"Yeah." I coldly reply him "Sorry Toji but Suguru is waiting for me, I need to get ready."

"Alright." he says, leaving to get back to his apartment without even saying goodbye. I try to not get bothered by that since I don't want to lose any more time.
