After Lynette alongside with Ace, Deuce, and Grim had to explained to the others about the important task that the headmaster Crowley himself had given to Grim and herself as well too, Riddle and Cater understood her explanation about the situation that was happening right now.
"I see... The Headmaster asked that from you, huh..." Riddle answered as he placed his hand on his chin.
"That's what he told the both us so." Lynette spoke with her series expression on her face.
"See? I knew that Grimmy and Cherie-chan won't be visiting without a reason." Cater explained with his usual happy-go-lucky smile one.
"Actually, I thought that something was amiss, too, so I asked Cater to gather some information." Riddle explained which Cater agreed.
"And then we found out that the only targeted people are the top players like Riddle-kun or Trey-kun." Cater continued as the first-years nodded in agreement.
"It is true that I hadn't slipped nor had someone pushed me from behind that day. However... I don't know how to explain it, but it felt like my body just moved around on its own." Riddle explained as Lynette nodded.
"The other guys who got hurt said the same thing, too." Grim stated.
"Wouldn't that actually mean..." Lynette started as Riddle agreed with her statement.
"Me too Rose, I think it would be a good idea to narrow our list down to the tournament players." Riddle answered.
"You mean to say that they're injuring strong players so that they'll have fewer rivals for the Magical Shift Tournament?" Ace asked.
"It's a competition that will be viewed worldwide. The tournament is connected to a guaranteed way to secure one's future, so it's not unthinkable that people will use any means necessary to win. " Riddle explained which everyone agreed with his explanation.
"Hm... Still, it's very strange. It's not like you were pushed by some kind of wind magic, right?" Cater asked which Riddle had though about it carefully.
"I didn't feel any sort of impact at all." Riddle explained.
"The other victims felt the same thing too. It's almost like a supernatural being is doing it without being noticed." Lynette stated.
"It seems like there were some who got injured during lessons, too. I wonder what's going on..." Cater wondered which everyone wondered the same thing as well until Riddle had made a decision.
"We just have to extract that statement from the culprit themselves. We will help you search for him." Riddle answered sternly which everyone looked at them in surprise.
"Really?!" Lynette asked with a smile after hearing their statement.
"Oh!? You'll help us?! What're you scheming...? Specially you, Cater!" Grim yelled as Lynette smacked his head.
"Stop being so rude, at least we have two more people to help us!" Lynette scolded.
"You sure have a bad rep of me, huh~ Our dorm-mate got hurt, so it's natural to help, right~?" Cater asked which the first-year students agreed.
"Of course Cater-senpai! The more the merrier!" Lynette smiled.
"If that's the case, we'll lend a hand, too." Ace answered with a smirk.
"We'll be avenging Clover-senpai!" Deuce answered as balled up his fists.
"You guys seem weirdly motivated." Riddle stated as he sweat drop after seeing their expression.
"Same here too..." Lynette mumbled alongside with him.
"Ah, I get it! You guys are aiming for the open player position, huh~" Cater guessed cheekly.
"Hehe~ Was it obvious?" Ace answered.
"Kinda." Lynette answered blankly.
"N-no, I wasn't thinking that! We do want revenge!"
"That's not a helpful excuse." Grim mumbled.
"Good grief. Well, I will take it into consideration if you manage to apprehend the culprit." Riddle stated sternly.
"Alright!" The duo cheered which the other and Grim sighed in defeat after.
"Getting back to the topic, I think that we need to take the initiative if we're ever to catch the culprit." Riddle explained as everyone agreed.
"What do you have in mind, then?" Grim asked carefully.
"For example, let's try to guess who will be the next victim so we can secretly be their bodyguard. We'll be able to secure the student's safety should an accident occur. At the same time, we'll be able to scope the vicinity for anyone suspicious." Riddle explained as Lynette smirked at his idea of the plan to solve the case about the accidents.
"I see, an ambush attack, I like the sound of that idea!" Lynette answered with a thumbs up.
"You're quick on the uptake, Cherie-chan~ Actually, we already have plenty of ideas as to who can be potential targets among the students~" Cater explained which it caught everyone attention and all eyes were on him.
"I'll share the info via group chat, so go check the group album out, 'kay?" Cater answered as he used his phone to send the info, as Lynette looked at it she was impress to see that Cater had gathered a lot of information about the other players.
"Wow." Lynette answered as she looked at her phone.
"Diamond-senpai... This is some great information..." Deuce mumbled quietly.
"Of course~♪ Alright, shall we go check up on the potential targets~?" Cater asked as everyone nodded with a smile.
"Okay! Off we go!" Grim and Lynette yelled as everyone continued their investigation to find the culprit, who was responsible for the mistaken accidents on the injuries players for the tournament.
