The two stood still there for minutes after Y/n's gone, touched by the kind words that came out from Y/n's mouth.
Since these two never really got support from someone else other than their family, it comforts them knowing that someone appreciates their hard work in volleyball.
"Oi, boke, answer my question from earlier." Kageyama finally snapped back into reality and demanded the tangerine-haired boy an answer.
"Huh, what question? Did you ask something before?"
Kageyama almost hit him in the head if his mood wasn't as well as right now. But since his heart was feeling all warm, he decided to ask him again.
"How did you know her?"
Hinata went silent for a couple of seconds before telling him the story.
"I met her after that match in junior high. Right after you left, she suddenly approached us from behind." A soft smile appeared on his face as the memories replayed in his head. "Honestly, I didn't see her coming. And I thought she was about to mock us for losing..."
Without realizing it, Kageyama was intently listening to Hinata's story.
"But then, she held my shoulder just like earlier and said the same thing." "I know it may not be much, but I'll be rooting for you." "I didn't have the chance to utter my thanks due to the overwhelming feeling in my chest. But I made a goal to at least make her proud and that her support isn't going to be a waste." Hinata explained with a proud smile on his face. "The good thing is, I found her again today. And the next time she saw me, it will not be outside the gym, but inside the court, playing a real match." Hinata determinedly declared.
