Shuichi POV
It's been a few months after we all woke up from that nightmare, I still can't believe everything was all a sick game in the real world
Also....
After everything I thought some of us would be distant after... the events that happened in the game but... they all seem to get along fine, I'm glad
"Hey Sidekick! What are you smiling for?" Kaito asked
I snapped out of my thoughts and realized I was smiling like an idiot
"Ah! It's nothing... i'm just thinking about.... stuff?" I said nervously
"Shuichi you aren't fooling anyone with that see-through lie you know" Kaede stated as she giggled
"Lie...." I whispered
"Hm? What was that?" Kaito asked
"Oh it's nothing Kaito" I said hoping he wouldn't ask more questions
--The Bell rang and we all sat down in our proper seats--
Somehow my eyes seem to keep staring at the empty seat right next to me... it's like a force of habit, it's like my eyes are searching for something on its own
My mind always wonders who could've sat down on thay empty seat
Y'know what! I'll ask the teacher. Even though i'm quite terrified to speak up, Curiousity overpowers my fear
As the teacher walked in I raised my hand like a kid making everyone's eyes dart over to me
"Yes Shuichi?" The teacher asked her face kind of shocked I even raised my hand because I never do that
"I-I u-uhm..." I stuttered out
"Shuichi? Do you need anything? Your delaying the class" The teacher said sternly
I took a deep breath before...
"Who's seat does this belong to?" I said as I pointed at the empty seat beside me
"Ah..." She said while looking at the attendance book
I waited anxiously for her answer
"Kokichi Ouma, a student who moved schools just before you all came back to class" She said
That name.... it's so familiar yet... why can't I remember.......
"Shuichi please sit down so we can start class." The teacher said
"Oh! Sorry Ma'am..." I said as I sat back down
The class is just as boring as ever...
---Timeskip!(Lunch)---
We all sat down,
Me, Kaito, Maki, Kaede and Rantaro usually sat together in the cafeteria
"So... Shuichi what made you speak up all the sudden?" Rantaro asked while opening his lunch box
"W-well uhh... Curiousity got the best of me i guess..." I said as they all stared at me with confusion
"Well atleast you managed to know who you've been thinking about right?" Kaede said trying to brighten up the mood
"Kokichi Ouma.... sounds like an annoying person" Maki stated
"hey! You don't even know who this person is! You can't say that" I said without hesitating
"Well sidekick do you know who this Kokichi person is?" Kaito said
"I-i... well that's what i've been thinking about..." I said as my head stares at the table infront of me
"Well we don't know him and he probably doesn't know us so why bother" Maki said as she rolled her eyes
"Well... he seems familiar in some way that I can't explain" I said trying to avoid eye contact with any of them
"Hmm.... Hey wanna try opening this person's locker?" Rantaro stated
I choked on air "What?! There is no way we're doing that!"
A few moments later infront of Kokichi's locker
"Uhuh what we're you saying Shuichi~"Rantaro said teasingly
"S-shut up..." I murmured
"Okay! If I wasn't fooled by Chihiro then this should be Kokichi's locker!" Kaede said
"Erm... Do you know the lock code" Kaito said nervously
Before I could say anything Maki broke the lock and it opened
"M-maki!! W-why did y-" I said shocked
"Nobody is technically using it right?" Maki stated with no concern whatsoever
"I- " I sighed "Fine I guess?" I said before opening the locker
We all stood shocked with what we found
