Who You Really Are (Chapter 2)

Shuichi POV

We all stood there shocked to see what was inside the locker

"Did it get cleaned out?" Kaede said as we all looked at the empty locker

"No there is something inside" I said as I took a piece of paper?

"It's just some trash" Maki said with her cold tone

"Something is on the back" Kaede said before I turned the paper around

It was a picture?

"Wait... that's-" I said while the others peered over my shoulder

In the picture there was a purple haired male looking out the window next to his seat

"So this is Kokichi huh?" Kaito said

Huh? This picture seems familiar... I thought to myself before realization hit me

I woke up looking at the person right beside me... Kokichi Ouma

'He looks as cute as ever' I thought to myself

I managed to snap a photo on my phone but as luck would have it, my flash was on

"Shumai~ you could have asked for a photo y'know" The purple haired male said with a noticable smile

"S-sorry... you were just so beautiful at the moment so I snapped a photo" I said while burying my face with my hands to hide my blush

I manage to see a smile on Kokichi's face in the corner of my eye, was my eyes just tricking me?

"Well Shumai let's see your photography skills!" He said before snatching my phone from my desk

"H-hey" I tried grabbing it back but Kokichi already saw it

"Ooo~ can you send me a copy Shumai?" He said with a smile on his face

"S-sure.." i said blushing a bit

"S--e--ck!" Someone called out

"Shuichi! Hey!" Kaede said as she waved her arms infront of my face

"We tried calling your name so many times but you didn't notice" Maki stated with a bit of worry? In her tone

"O-oh.. sorry, guess I was lost in thought" I said while still looking at the picture

"Well then? Let's go back to class before the bell rings" Kaito said as he walked ahead of us

"Wait for us!" Kaede said before running after Kaito with Maki

I took one more glance at the photo before putting it in my pocket

"Sidekick you coming?" Kaito said from a far

"Y-yeah!" I said before running after them

So the whole day is the same as usual, Himiko saying mAgIcCcCc!, Tenko protecting Himiko and scaring all the boys away, Kirumi being the mom that she is, Miu is.... i'm not gonna guess what she does

So lets timeskip to the end of the school

I walked to my uncle's house where i'm currently staying at

Hmm.... does my uncle know Kokichi? It wouldn't hurt to ask right?

As I walked in I heard the TV was turned on so he is probably in the living room

I walked in the living room

"Oh! Welcome home Shuichi" My uncle said

"Thanks....uhm.." I said while trying to think of words to say

"Is there anything you need?" My uncle said while lowering the volume of the TV

"Well I wanted to ask you a question..." I managed to say without stuttering

"Okay? I'm all ears" he said putting all his attention on me

"D-do you know of a person named... Kokichi Ouma?" I said while looking at the floor to avoid eye contact

"Oh! That little guy, yes I do remember him" He said smiling a bit

"Y-you do?!" I said in relief and surprise

"Yes I do but why are you suddenly asking?" Hw gave me a confused look

"I can't seem to... remember him.. but I feel like he meant something to me and I wanna remember who he was" I said wanting an answer

"Well I can tell you all I know"He said which made me quite happy that i'll find something new

He patted the seat next to him and motioning me to sit down

I sat down beside him and he took a deep breath

"Kokichi used to come here to hide when thing's got rough in his house" He said while looking down

"Hide?" I said curiously

"His parents were very... very bad people, Kokichi came here with bruises, some parts of his skin were blue and its an undeniable fact that his parent's were the cause of that" He said with a tint of anger in his voice

"So... me and Kokichi were friends?" I said tilting my head to the side

My uncle bursts out laughing

"W-what?" I said kinda confused

"Does 'accidentally' kissing, a friend thing?" He said with an amused look on his face

I felt my face on fire for a few seconds

"W-what?!" Is all I managed to say

"If you call that friendship then I call it romance" He said with a grin on his face

I got up and ran to my room my face still flushed

I ran into my room and slammed the door (R.I.P Door)

I faceplanted on my bed rethinking of what my uncle told me

"M-me and Kokichi were-" i whispered before burying my face im my pillow
