He never moved for the rest of that day and night. That is, he stayed still, motionless, even when the wind blew across him and the waves slapped at the beach. No movement, no taste for anything, no desire. Hunger, thirst... nothing.
The next day, Athena saw him. She was on the beach to watch him, even though he was out of bronze. At first glance, he looked like the statue Athena had placed on the beach to honor him. But she knew that he wasn't the statue. She knew that he was alive, so she sent her sister, Melissa, to go get him.
When Melissa came to get him, she spoke to him in a kid's voice.
"Hey, Poseidon!" Melissa said. Poseidon's head snapped up, and he stared at the mortal girl. "Isn't it a beautiful day?" Melissa asked, pointing towards the much more beautiful and deep blue ocean, the sun high in the sky. He just stared at the mortal, but she knew that he was listening to her voice. Then, Melissa placed her hand on his chest and began a healing ritual. He stumbled back, with a look of disbelief on his face. He stared at the sky again, then his eyes began to glow.
"Alright," Poseidon said, still staring at the mortal, "you can have me back. Just take me back," he said softly.
Athena smiled with relief.
"Alright," Athena said, "I'll get you back, Poseidon," she said, taking the mortal girl's hand in her own.
Melissa led her brother back to Athena and they all went to a beautiful and well-kept castle. Athena used magic to bring back Poseidon, and when she was done, Poseidon looked over at the mortals who had watched the whole thing unfold. He was suddenly so hungry.
"Where's lunch?!" Poseidon yelled out. The mortals did not know what to say. After thinking about this, Poseidon said quietly, "What's so special about mortals?"
"Well they're mortal," Melissa said.
"What's so great about that?" He asked.Melissa and Athena looked over at each other.
"When you change mortal, your higher senses are still there," Athena said.
"Then change me!" Poseidon said.
"You can't," Athena said.
"Why not?" Poseidon said.
"Are you crazy? what if you die as a mortal and we didn't know or find out," Athena said in disbelief.
"But you said it even if I'm a mortal my higher senses are still there," Poseidon said.
"So? Poseidon you're still one of the Seven Olympians and it will be my responsibility if something happens to you!" Athena said.
"Fine if you're not going to change me I'll find someone that will," Poseidon said while walking to the door.
"Oh don't you dare," Athena threatens.
"Just watch me" Poseidon said before he got out of the room.
"POSEIDON YOU-" Athena was cut off by the closing of the door.
An: yeah thats all. :>
