Amara smiled as her friend, Charlie, ranted about how her boyfriend and how he refused to give her hugs in public. After a while Charlie quieted down and watched Amara as she stared out the window. "....Amara....Amara!" She said, tapping her friend on the hand. Amara quickly looked back at her. "Sorry Charlie. It's just that...You've told me about this many times"She said. Charlie stuck her tongue out and took a sip of coffee."You'll understand my problems when you actually get a boyfriend."She replied, looking at her friend carefully."Are you going to try dating again?"
"I-...I don't really know"
"Oh come on Amara it's been two years! It's not like every man is a cheater"Charlie said. Amara just shrugged."I know. I just haven't found anyone yet"
"Haven't found of haven't tried to find?"Her friend asked with a knowing look. She was right. Amara really hadn't tried to find anyone else to try dating. She was scared, who wouldn't be? After a few bad experiences it just gets harder and harder to try. She sighed and put down her coffee mug."Are you paying or me?"She asked.
"Trying to change the subject huh? Alright i'll pay. I need to go meet up with Marcus anyways."Charlie mumbled as she paid the check and then stood."Think about what I said ok?"And then she left. Amara rolled her eyes. Such a busybody, she thought with the smallest smile. She stood and left the cafe, deciding to head back to her apartment to work on a drawing she was making on her art tablet.
As she walked down the street, she noticed it began to become less packed, which was normal since she was heading more towards the outer parts of the city. Suddenly she heard honking, and a few people screamed.
