I watch as my tears moisten and darken the pavement, filled with emotions i'd bottled up until now, finally, I stand wiping my tears from my already puffy eyes, weeping and sobbing, i walk back home, asking myself, "Why am i crying?"
"What had happened to me?"
"Why does my chest hurt so much?"
"Why can't i remember anything?"
I struggle to remember everything that had happen, but its all a blur, i can't quite recall anything.
The cars passed by me as i began to walk home.. I heard there was going to be a serious rainstorm today, i hope i make it back home in time for father, but I don't want to go back home.
My parents had divorced and am currently living with my father, neither of my parents will tell me why they split up, i guess i should be happy i can even keep contact them, however its not like either of them actually cared for me.
My father rarely ever returned home, and when he did, he never spoke, he'd weep and cry his eyes out, vomitting due to all the alcohal he had drunk, sometimes i'd run in and pat his back.. But he'd just cry even harder. My father works tight hours, and when he gets off, he'll drink even more at the bar and get drunk again. He comes back at late hours, usually when im asleep. And i'll wake up in the morning and pull a blanket over his drunken body that is most likely leaning over the toilet from puking all night, i wonder if he had gained this drinking habbit because of my mother.
My thinking was suddenly interrupted by a small raindrop that had fallen on my left cheek, "huh?" I say aloud, light rain starts to sprinkle onto the ground, blending in with my tears that moistened the ground as i walked home, "Crap, i have to get home fast, i need to check if father is home, what if he isnt? I'd have to call him and ask him if hes okay or where he was," i pick up my pace and begin to run.
I was running so hard i got a nose bleed, but that wouldn't stop me from running, father was the only person i ever cherished. The rain gets heavier and heavier. Suddenly, i hear a crashing sound. "This isn't good, i have to get home quick," i think to myself, i begin to run again when something catches my eye.. A blood red butterfly passes by my face, i hear a strange sound.. Singing, a young female singing something, her voice was muffled but the tone and pitch of her voice was beautiful and calming.
Everything begins to blur up, "I can't lose concious now, i have to check if father is okay," i think to myself. But no matter how much i told myself that, i ended up blacking out on the cold pavement, inviting in the cold temperature from the cold outside world.
"AriElla!"
"Huh? Someones calling me,"
"AriElla..!"
"This voice sounds familiar.. Who could be calling my name at this time?"
I look at my surroundings, i am in a beautiful garden, i look down to see that i am wearing a pink skirt, about knee-length, a short sleeve shirt that had parallel black stripes and white flats with small golden buckles.
I walk around the garden and see the same blood-red butterfly that had passed me earlier, I follow the butterfly through the garden through a nearby forest and into a cave, someone is talking to me, "AriElla.." Whispered yet another hushed voice, i keep quiet, "AriElla, come quick!" Said the male voice a little louder. Alarmed i ran away from the voice and out of the cave, looking for a way back to the peaceful garden, i hear thumping close behind me, "why, why is this happening? I clearly walked away from the voice, not towards it like those dumb idiots in horror movies!" I look around anxiously, looking for a way back, however the swarm of trees seem to be infinite and wont allow very much access to light anymore. I look up and see that it is no longer daytime. The moon was glowing. It appears to be a waxing moon tonight.
The thumps stopped, i breathe for a bit and let out a small sigh, "What was that?" I ask myself. "I should look back to see if its still there," i turn around to see that no one is behind, nor in front of me, i go back to the tree trunk. Suddenly something tight pulls on my ankle, a trap.
I was hanging upside down from a tree, hanging by a mere rope. Someone is walking towards me, i try to focus my eyes but they disobey my commands, the figure pulls out a knife. The figure says something that i can't quite hear. It paused a moment to look at me. It holds its pocket knife above its head and is going to strike me a fatal blow, "No!" I scream.. I feel cold again, the same feeling from a few hours ago.. Blood exits my body and allows the freezing night air of the forest into my now cold and lifeless body.
