Almost directly after getting checked out by the paramedic's and questioned by the cops he ready to go. I follow close behind as he wiped his face clean. "At least stop by the house so we can change ," I huff my sides burning as I try to keep up. His only answer was a nod. In a way it felt like he was cutting me off emotionally. To centered on getting back. I felt a knot form in my throat as I changed , my back to him. I almost jumped when he touched my bare shoulder's. Turning to face him I didn't bother to cover myself. It wasn't like he hasn't seen it before. In a way it was as if I was baring my heart. He no longer had the wig on. Nor did he have the markings. His hands slid from my shoulders up to my neck. Caressing their way to my face making me look deeply in his eyes. "I would like for you to come with me," Sesshomaru ran his thumbs over my cheeks like he couldn't help himself. I opened my mouth to answer but he kissed my chin just below my lips. "You don't have to answer right now," he butterflies kisses over my chin, jaw , face and lips. I was melting in the palm of his hand. He kissed me so deeply, passionately that my toes curled. My leg threatening to lift like in one of those cheesy romantic moves. Breaking the kiss he gently kissed my forehead leaving me feeling off balanced from his earlier action. "Until then," he let me go with a chased kiss. Sesshomaru went to get dressed glancing over to me once more like he couldn't help it. The hope clear in his eyes before turning to his options. While getting dressed I couldn't help but look over to him. My heart seeming to flutter. Absent mindlessly old pain seemed to slash my heart as my hand went to my belly. Could I leave with a man that I barely know anything about. Had I really been keeping him at arms length?

She said not one word after locking up her house and handing me a bag she packed. (Y/n) held my hand, letting me lead. The closer we got to that tree the harder my heart seemed to pound. A soft shifting glow caught my. It felt as if the tree and water were calling to me. Clearing the treeline we paused. Unlike that first night the waters seemed to shimer and shine with multiple colors. The tree hanging over it only seemed to add to the soft dazzling glow. Taking a breath we walked up to the edge of the water. Setting the bag down I squeezed (Y/n)'s hand. I turn to face her but her gaze was on the water as if memorized. She turned to face me when she realized I was looking at her. "Are you sure this will work," she asked. "Pretty sure," I smile stroking her cheek with the back of my hand. "I'm not going," she blurted and looked down. My hand paused in my petting. She fliped my hand so my palm cupped her cheek. Leaving into it she looked up at me. "I care for you and it scares me," her voice trembled," but what scares me more is a world I don't know." "I can protect you," I promise using my other arm to pull her close. Pressing into her like she was the glue holding my splintering heart. "Is that the only reason holding you back," I asked through frozen lips. (Y/n) shook her head tears in her eyes. She nuzzled into my chest as I pull her close. My heart breaking I kiss the top of her head. I don't know how long we stood there but I felt her tears soaking though my shirt and coat. Gently I pull back a bit. Her lips met mine in a salty kiss. My heart on my sleeve for the last time as I broke the kiss. The taste of her soft lips I'd remember for the rest of my life. Taking the bag in my hand I back up into the water. My eyes locked with her watery one's. Taking a breath though it felt like my heart was being squeezed in a death grip I fall back into the cool night water. The moment I submerged into the water I felt the subtle change. Reaching the surface I knew I was back in my time. A familar whimper caught my attention before the fact that my senses were back. The moon high in the night sky lighting up the night enough so a human wouldn't stumble. "Lord Sesshomaru?" I stepped out of the water dragging the bag out of the water with me. "Lord Sesshomaru,"she cried now racing from her hiding spot into my arms as I dropped the bag to hug her back. Holding her tight with my relief she was okay and my heart still raw from (Y/n). Jaken came rushing over looking completely exhausted. Tears of joy in his enormous eyes. Clearly he had taken care of Rin while I was gone. How long was I gone here? Was the time the same as the other side? Everthing felt to new, to overwhelming after having human senses for so long.

The moment he seemed to disappear in the water was the moment the colors seemed to bleed from my world. From the water, from the tree, from life. The hole that had been in my heart had been filled by him and now it felt like he took the very thing that kept me alive. I stumble in a daze unable to pick up the peices.
