[ Third Person ]
The bell alerted the two having them running to their next class. They had forgot to ask eachother for their next class, lucky for them they had the same class. They had half their classes together, the other few Tanjiro had with his other friends.
[ Tanjiro POV ]
Kanao and I had to scurry to our class. As we stepped into the room the teacher gave us a warning before telling us to take a seat. Of course I was confused about where to sit, were there assigned seats? Kanao must've noticed my confusion as she spoke quietly to not disturb the learning students. " We normally have assigned seats but this class out teacher gives us a little freedom. As long as we can handle it. " I was somewhat relieved I could sit by Kanao.
Now that he's finally got the courage to speak with her. He couldn't help that he felt like he wanted to stay by her side, she was his best friend so he had a reason. Plus he hadn't been able to speak with her for years, he somewhat could get updates from her parents. Seeing as he basically worked with them, so word got around how she was doing fairly often.
Leaning against his elbow he paid attention to the teacher. Every now and again he found himself glancing over to Kanao scribbling down some notes. She was beautiful, this wasn't unodd to say. Perhaps to others, but he would tell her all the time how beautiful and pretty she was. She was never the type to flaunt her looks, she could if she wanted but would never let herself stood so low.
" Kamado is something important that you are day dreaming in the middle of my class? " letting a blush of embarrassment reach his cheeks, he quickly shook his head. Why was everyone staring, letting his eyes flicker to Kanao momentarily she was on the verge of laughter.
" No mam my apologies. " he spoke quickly as he grabbed his pencil. Opening up the notebook he only now realized he now doesn't have the notes, or what they were even supposed to do. The teacher grabbed everyone's attention. She told the class about the group project, it was due next week then she went on the explain what they were doing.
" This is a two person project. You will be visiting different place and writing about them. Explain to me why they're important or not important to you, you may choose your partner. Come to me if you need help finding one, im happy to help. Find your partners and discuss about your project for the remainder of class. " clasping her hands together he turned his chair towards Kanao.
" So, may I have the honor of having you as my partner. " his tone was teasing and formal making Kanao roll her eyes. It was replaced by a small smile as she nodded her head. Tanjiro found himself staring far to long, coughing into his arm as a cover up he didn't see why he felt more emotionally attached? He was acting like she was going to leave again. Not that she had a choice the first time.
" Any ideas? " initially the question caught him off guard. Yes he was expecting the question, but wasn't prepare to answer. " Uhm mayb- no. " he stumbled over his words before getting an idea.
" What if we went to the spring festival in town tomorrow? At least for the first paper, we can try going to a few places to see if we have any ideas? " The idea wasn't so bad he thought. It gives them an excuse to go to the festival before it's over, the spring festival lasts for a week only. It has been going on for half of this week, so they were going to start cleaning up all the decorations in a few days.
" That's perfect. " to busy in his head he finally snapped out of the daze hearing the voice. Making eye contact the world felt like like it froze around him. Kanao had this gentle smile, her eyes softened making them almost shine. What was this fuzzy feeling? It wasn't the first time he felt like this.
' What are you doing to me. '
