I looked up as the huge white fur ball licked his paws. I crouched and patted my thighs.

"Come here Khalis." I said smiling with pride.

Poor him, the wolf, with his fur as white as snow was now stained with blood. I congratulated him while shaking the fur from his neck. He squealed before making the puppy eyes, he was so cute.

"I'm proud of you! It was good, you're a good boy!"

I glanced at the dead corpse beside him. They were not breathing, of course, they are dead. Their eyes were wide open from horror just like their mouth. I didn't even be that scary... I sighed before walking towards the other room.

"Hun?" I asked calmly.

No answers... Strange...

"Cutie pie?" I tried again as I continued walking, my backpack on.

There were not valuable things, by that I meant that there were not precious jewels or even just money. Fake jewels and twenty dollars, that's all. It was not enough to buy a solid gold knife... I cheered myself with the thoughts that, maybe, they did not have cash but we did not check on their account. Khalis followed close behind me, his steps echoed and made little squik sounds when they hit the blood puddles. However, except that, everything was silent. I couldn't hear Dakukoto at all! It was strange, too strange if you'd asked my opinion. It wasn't normal

"Meh." I muttered shrugging.

Nothing is normal with us so it wasn't out of the ordinary for me. After verifying every single room of the little house, I exited. It was beautiful; the house was lost in a grove, surrounded by fields. The city was not that far away but it would take time to find the body if it were left like this. I would not do it; we're going to incinerate them but still... They did not have any apparent family picture, it was easy for me to deduct that they were alone and it might get easier for us because no one will search for them. No one... There was no one...

I was already regretting not taking my knife in hands when someone clasped a hand over my mouth and an arm around my waist. I was debating when a deep dark voice murmured to my ear, strangely, Khalis didn't growled.

"Shh... It's me," it said in a husky voice.

I immediately recognized who it was, stopped moving, calmed my breath, and finally he released me. Well... Not completely, he just took of his hand from my mouth to place it on my head. I understood why Khalis didn't do anything now....

"There's someone." He added, still near my ear.

I shivered and snuggled up to him even more, clenching my fingers around the handles of my daggers that were attached to my thighs. I could hear his breath and that calmed me down, he squeezed me a little more as I relaxed in spite of myself.

"What do we do?" I whispered to him with worry even if I appreciated his presence.

"Dunno. I can't see 'em but I'm sure they can see us." He answered.

"Then why doesn't they make a move?"

"I dunno. It really bothers me though." He muttered annoyed.

I laughed silently.

"You don't know a thing, do you?"

"It's not the right time."

"'Kay, 'kay. Then why don't we attack ourselves? It's not the cop, it ain't civils. In fact, nothing we can't handle."

"No."

"What no?"

"If I take a move, you stay here. It's not normal..."
